Most players know what it takes to become an elite player, but the majority aren’t willing to work that hard on a consistent basis. Players know that wanting it & getting it are two different things. Unfortunately, knowledge doesn’t change behavior. Action is the way to achieve!
Players: If you want to be taken seriously, you must take yourself seriously first. Are you disciplined, trustworthy? Do you hold yourself accountable? Can others count on you? You’ll never be the leader of a team, family, group, etc. until you’re the leader of yourself first.
Let kids battle through adversity. With the right support and no excuses they will be stronger and better. On the other side of adversity is strength and growth. Don't take that away from kids.
Adversity = Strength
Tough people don't blame others, they take ownership.
Tough people don't complain, they work harder.
Tough people don't make excuses, they make it happen.
Tough people don't get discouraged, they get better.

Sports teach values you will live by forever. Discipline, leadership, respect, honesty, loyalty, facing adversity, pride. If you’re lucky enough to be part of a team with values, be smart enough to use them in life. Let them guide you. You will live by them long after the game.

Players: Learn to control what you can control. When things aren’t going well for you, can you put that aside, maintain great body language & still help your team WIN? Call it mental toughness, maturity, being a great teammate or unselfishness. It’s the ultimate life lesson.
