Iran has just been nominated to preside over the UN Committee for the protection of women's rights, human rights, and the prevention of terrorism.
YES, IRAN. And it was supported by the United Kingdom, Spain, and France.
This is not a joke. It's real.

The Christian centre of gravity (the place on earth you must stand to have the equal number of Christians to your north and south, and east and west) is moving South-Eastwards by 150 yards every day!
@AvantiWestCoast I’m trying to do a repay delay claim for a group booking and am finding it impossible to process. It keeps saying I’m replicating the ticket numbers. It seems to be so complicated! Please can you help? Is there a phone number to call?
The Islamic regime is preparing to execute Pakhshan Azizi, a Kurdish woman from Mahabad.
Held in isolation for months and denied a lawyer, she was accused of "rebellion against the state" - a fabricated charge.
Don’t look away. Be her voice.
Rashid Mazaheri is a former goalkeeper for the Iranian national football team. Missing since Feb for criticising Ali Khamenei during the January protests. Imagine a report that Joe Hart 🏴 was about to be executed for an Instagram post about the UK PM.
The persecution facing many Christians in #Yemen is extreme. The country is third on the World Watch List, and since the turn of the year, an unprecedented crackdown on church activity has seen the arrest of more than 50 believers.
Whilst some believers have decided to leave Yemen for their safety, others remain – but it’s very difficult. With no official churches, and given the immense dangers of gathering as Christians, many feel isolated.
That’s why your support for Christians in Yemen and across the Middle East, in places like Syria and Iran, is so crucial. As you help strengthen what remains in the region – through prayer, giving and advocating – you’re showing them that they are not alone. It means so much to them.

URGENT: Erfan Shakurzadeh, a university student, is hours away from execution.
He was a student at Iran University of Science and Technology. He had a future. He had dreams. Now he has been transferred to Qezelhesar Prison to be hanged.
Erfan is not alone in that death row. Every single day, the Islamic Republic sends young people, students, protesters, workers, to the gallows.
Tomorrow, they will try to erase him, just like they erased the dozens before him.
Praise God for this wonderful news from Iran!
Amir-Ali Minaei – a 32-year-old Iranian Christian convert whom you might recall praying for – has been released from prison.
Amir-Ali was sentenced to three years and seven months in prison in March 2024 for involvement in establishing a house church. He was charged with ‘propaganda activities against the regime’. The sentence was later reduced to two years and six months after he chose not to appeal. His release from Tehran's Evin Prison on 29 April was part of an annual amnesty.
During his imprisonment, Amir-Ali suffered physical assault by a prison guard and developed a serious heart condition, believed to be caused by the stress of his detention and ongoing pressure. He also went on a hunger strike in protest against restrictions, including being denied access to a telephone. A request for conditional release in January 2025 was denied due to his refusal to cooperate with authorities.
May this testimony encourage us to continue praying for believers in Iran who still face imprisonment, pressure and persecution for their faith.
As we rejoice in this answered prayer, we also remember those who remain in prison, that they would be strengthened, protected and sustained, and that many more would experience the same deliverance.

Clive Johnston was convicted today of breaching an abortion buffer zone. It’s a bad law, leading to bad outcomes. Remember Christians have significant freedoms to share the gospel and these should be exercised wisely and responsibly.
Egypt: Coptic Christian scholar convicted of blasphemy for videos defending and explaining Christian faith
Christian Today, April 29, 2026: "A man has been sentenced to five years in prison with hard labour in Egypt after posting online videos about Christianity, according to Christian legal advocacy group ADF International. Augustinos Samaan, a Coptic Christian scholar and content creator with more than 100,000 subscribers on YouTube, was convicted under Egypt’s blasphemy laws for videos defending and explaining the Christian faith."
It’s a brittle religion and culture that can’t stand scrutiny and questioning, and has to shut it down by force.
With his hands cuffed, he wipes his own tears…Because he was forced to confess to a crime he never committed. And then, they hanged him in Iran for protesting against Islamic Republic.
His name was Erfan Kiani.
But we only heard his name after his execution.
His family stayed silent, not out of choice, but out of fear.
They were told: stay quiet, and maybe he will live.
So unfortunately many families believe the interrogators.
There is no ceasefire in Iran.
The executions never stopped.
The war is not over, it has simply been hidden behind prison walls.
I call on international media and the leaders of free world to take action about it. Say their names.
Do not let them die twice in silence.
Set a treadmill at 21kph ( max most will go to) and try to run for 30 seconds on it.
That's what he did for 1 hour, 59 minutes and 30 seconds.
The peak of human physical achievement. Insane, absolutely insane.
🔴Breaking: The Islamic regime in Iran just hanged another innocent young protester, Amir Ali Mirjafari, from the January 2026 protests.
Tortured into confessing to setting fire to a mosque, then executed at dawn.
How many more young Iranians have to die before anyone cares?
