وہ تو ٹھیک ہے، مگر ہم ہرگز نہیں جھکیں گے کیونکہ اوّل تو ہم بھیڑ بکریاں نہیں، انسان ہیں اور دوم یہ کہ ہم تاریخِ عالم کے اس عظیم ترین قائد (محمد الرسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) کی امت ہیں جنہوں نے ہمیں رب العزّت کے حضور اس عہد میں باندھا کہ خالقِ کائنات کے سوا ہم کسی کے بھی سامنے ہرگز نہیں جھکیں گے۔

The mindset behind this unprecedented crackdown and current reign of terror that PTI and its supporters are being subjected to (that was not even witnessed during Zia and Musharraf martial laws) is that we Pakistanis are like a herd of sheep who can be terrorised enough to meekly bow down to this naked show of power. My full speech earlier today.

PTI has always been a peaceful & democratic Party. Numerous examples I shared where we showed restraint and chose a peaceful solution to avoid confrontation even if it meant a set back for me or the party.

I ask the authorities to conduct a transparent investigation of any attack that happened on govt buildings; it is my belief that this is all scripted to frame PTI.

Also, I urge the police, instead of barging in and creating chaos, come into my house with a proper search warrant and arrest the alleged terrorists if they are hiding inside.

آج کچھ دیر قبل قوم سے کیا گیا میرا مکمل خطاب!

پاکستان تحریک انصاف ہمیشہ سے ایک پرامن اور جمہوری جماعت ہے۔ میں نے کئی ایک واقعات کا حوالہ دیا ہے جن سے ظاہر ہوتا ہے کہ ہم نے تصادم کی راہ روکنے کیلئےمسلسل صبر و ضبط کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے بار بار پرامن راستے کا انتخاب کیا اگرچہ مجھے اور میری جماعت کو اس کی سیاسی قیمت ہی کیوں نہ اٹھانا پڑی۔

میرا حکّام سے مطالبہ ہے کہ سرکاری عمارتوں پر کئے جانے والے کسی بھی حملے کی شفاف تحقیق کریں؛ میرا اعتقاد ہے کہ یہ سب تحریک انصاف کو پھانسنے کا سوچا سمجھا منصوبہ ہے۔

اس کے ساتھ ہی میں پولیس سے کہتا ہوں کہ زبردستی گھسنے اور افراتفری پھیلانے کی بجائے باقاعدہ سرچ وارنٹس کے ساتھ میری رہائشگاہ پر آئیں اور ان مبیّنہ دہشتگردوں کو (بقول ان کے) جو یہاں چھپے ہوئے ہیں گرفتار کرلیں۔
