Tonight just after 10:15pm a Police Canine Officer and his Canine Partner were on duty and on patrol in the area of Truman Rd and Benton Blvd when their patrol car was struck by another vehicle. The collision caused a secondary impact with a pedestrian.

Officer Rick Jones recently rescued a child from a kidnapping.

Jones was working off-duty when he followed his instincts, pursued the suspect, & stopped the crime. Bystanders & other department members helped him. The child is safe. Charges filed.

Great Job, Officer Jones!
