I love this road so much, I wish it would go on forever. Even though the particle system definitely lost a lot of detail between instalments, the fact that the smoke captured my little lift as I slightly adjusted my line makes this shot so much more compelling.
@dexcooldrinker Toyota's mentality started changing when they eventually realized their cars in any racing game benefit the brand immensely, circa 2023 or late 2022 if I'm not mistaking
I don't pay for Twitter so bear with me as I slowly put this tourist to bed:
- there's still tens of outdated car models with terrible proportions, some dating back to FM4
- body customization is still severely limited to only a few models even though the variety has improved
Let's play a game. Say something negative about Forza Horizon 6. It's pretty hard to come up with something. About the only thing I can think of that isn't absolutely chef's kiss is your player character models.
It's still a Playground game, it's still modern Horizon at it's safest. But it is indeed very pretty and the progression hasn't felt this good since FH3. The roads while wide as fuck in places are very representative of Japan so that's the biggest win in my opinion. It's good.
I'm a connoisseur of dumb redneck shit and it's been years since something has impressed me. Don't let the flawlessness of its execution rob you of awe of its skill and danger.
@faizkyokaz Yeah I'm with you, the presentation means a lot to me too. I feel that the whole design philosophy isn't entirely polished for FH6. Love the colors and the more compact look UI-wise but something as simple as text on the asphalt/scenery at the end of a race would work wonders
