Worked alongside ranchers for years. I can count on one hand the times I went on a ranch and the land wasn't over grazed. Never met a more misanthropic careless antisocial class of people. Giant ranch houses with shiny new trucks and nothing but resent for their own incompetence
Ranchers need to be arrested if they do this. Iβm sorry, Iβm usually a decently freedom maximalist but this is actually societally existential. I am not being dramatic. This is life and death. This is how societies collapse their food systems. Texas declared a state of emergency for a reason

I might actually write a review on medium or something for this. What I can say without spoilers: it felt like it didn't know what it was trying to do, and didn't fully commit to anything. That hurt it a lot. It would have been a lot stronger if it committed to any one thing
Certainly some questionable creative decisions,
exceptions to this for long established planets with full civilizations, but almost all examples we find of that are major centers of power and influence in the galaxy, which makes sense!
My headcanon for star wars is that so many planets are "single feature planets" because they really only have one major city around the spaceport, and the rest of the planet is only sparsely/locally populated, and mostly just to feed resources back to space.
