… surface area to inner, unseasoned area, so they aren’t overwhelmingly flavored and well balanced. I approve!
Also a perk, a serving size is 46 for 150 calories!

X-abstaining Kristen Cassel (Our resident pickle and cheese expert) with a guest ‘Cluck’ Review:
Oh the much anticipated Pickle Balls review!
Like many other pickle flavored items they have a very strong artificial pickle smell. But unlike chips they have a more balanced (1/2)
Sauce was a standard mild/medium, not spicy in my opinion, but understandable considering the demographic of this cruise. Overall, I give these wings a respectful 7 clucks out of 10 (5/X).
Spicy buffalo sauce served on the side, allowing for either dipping each wing individually, or applying to the plate of wings itself. I opted for the individual dipping method to preserve as much crisp as possible (shocker) (4/X).
After the smoke process can confirm that they are flash fried, which then provided a nice, and unexpected, crisp to them. This I loved. Where Saucy will have issues with these wings is naturally the application of the sauce itself (3/X).
Nice size wings, except for one that they must have gotten from the same supplier as Paxtang Grill. Very prominent smoke flavor, which then resulted in a tender and moist meat (2/X).

Incoming review alert 🚨 🍗
Found a restaurant for lunch on the ship that serves wings. Menu description: Smoked Chicken Wings, dry rub or spicy buffalo. Obviously went spicy buffalo (1/X).
Same approach as last time. But had to air fry for 14 minutes because they were frozen. Added baking soda to add crisp (but still need to add more)
Sweet Heat Cajun DD with Buffalo sauce, Buffalo DD and Buffalo DD with Buffalo Blue.
Next time: Need to try adding baking powder to crisp them up a little bit more. Could also try cooking a little bit longer? Getting better, but still room to grow. Need to find a dill pickle seasoning that has less sodium. The salt was over-powering… (2/2)
The verdict:
The wings weren't warm enough. Trials and tribulations of a new air fryer. We'll learn... But the flavors were on point. We're on to something. Could add more dry rub powder into the mix on all acounts. I have to be happy for my first go-around.... (6/6)
Notes for my next attempt...
1.) Put the wings in the air fryer longer
2.) Heat the sauces before mixing dry rubs
3.) More than 2 minutes for Double-dip option
4.) Add baking powder to crisp more
Some wings put back in the air fryer at 400 degrees for 2 minutes after being tossed in Stubb's Sweet Heat BBQ sauce mixed w/ Rib Rack Cajun Spice Rub for my first attempt at double-dipped wings (2/X)...
Giant brand party wings ($4.99 lb.) sprayed w/ avacado oil & seasoned w/ salt, pepper and garlic powder.
10 minutes in the Sur La Table air fryer for 10 minutes on foil before being flipped and air-fried for another 10 minutes (1/X)...
