Everything broken doesn't have to be completely fixed for us to be completely fine. We can be scared & brave & frail & unbelievably strong all in the same leap of faith. We can be hurt but we don't have to live hurt.

Broken is what people are. Beautiful is what God makes them.

No human should have to carry the weight of being their own god, but so many of us do.

We say we trust God & then we work our fingers to the bone & our emotions into a tangled fray trying to control it all.

Lord, help us remember that You are good & You are good at being God.

We can’t stop or control the things that come our way. And all of the unknowns can sometimes seem so frightening.

But we can make the minute-by-minute choice to let our souls rest in God. We don't have to understand; we just have to trust.

We see only what the human mind can imagine, but God is building something we cannot even fathom. We may see it in time, or not until eternity. But we can know that whatever He gives us truly is His good provision, whether that good is for today or part of a much bigger plan.

Too much revelation & we'd pridefully run ahead of God. Too little & we'd be paralyzed with fear. So thankful He sheds just enough light to see the very next step.

I believe our ability to fully experience the abundant life God wants for us hinges on us getting into His Word & letting His Word get into us.

We don’t have to get derailed by the darkness, dismantled by defeat, or drowned out by doubt. We can let His Word speak life into us.

The best way to stop fear when it tries to creep in & steal our focus away from faith? First, acknowledge it. Then overpower fear with prayer & God's Truth.

God isn’t into the rat race. He’s into the slower rhythms of life like dwelling, abiding, learning, remembering and being in His presence.

We tend to get very attached to outcomes of our own making. Meanwhile, God loves us enough to be working on a better plan.

With God there is always a meanwhile. You may be facing a hard reality. But never forget what our good God is doing in the unseen is also reality.

Those who are most easily angered are often those who refuse healing where they’re most deeply wounded.

If we can remember this, we can stop attending every drama to which we are invited.

We can be hurt but we don’t have to live hurt.
