@AOC Stop creating your own version of history! The South LEGALLY broke from the Union. The N invaded the S because the S had the raw materials the N wanted. Slavery was legal several years in the N after the war though illegal in the S. Only rich owned slaves and most rich were in N.

@DJdummydum @AOC It was legal for the states to leave the United States at the time of the Civil War.The Confederacy formed for many reasons other than slavery, which was already declining. Only 2-3% of the people actually owned slaves.Slavery remained legal in the Union/North after the War.
