@TransNursing @nicunurselifee Wow. I feel as if it hits harder when one of us gets sick. For some reason it makes us feel human again and not so detached.
@theamyoshow@NoahSchroederRN@Kati_Kleber We use soft wrist restraints on all vented patients. I'm in a Surgical ICU though so our patients are coming out of anesthesia and can get confused/agitated and self extubate. I'm pretty sure everyone on our Medical ICU is restrained as well.
@Nursing_Heretic@cvicunurse23 I guess it's different because our docs do month long rotations with us. They know who they can trust. With seasoned nurses it is always good to verify. I guess my complaint is not assume the bp is accurate because of nurse error. Shit happens. Also no hard feelings!
@sweatPANCE4life@nursekelsey Yes! Our local dog store has a box out by their toys you can put your old ones in! They also offer a small discount for giving old ones back when you buy a new one!
@nurse_charming Because sometimes that can slow me down and sometimes I'm so busy I don't know where to start! She has improved so much as a charge nurse!
@nurse_charming We have a newer charge nurse that told me something she's been working on that she heard in a podcast. It was talking about when a nurse is really busy just find things that need to be done and do them instead of asking what needs to be done. I thought it was really important...
@j_thePA I love the packaging!! They have different types of shampoo for volume, hydration, and others! I use the coconut one and it smells amazing! You can even smell the scent on day 3 hair
@j_thePA I love this brand! They are affordable and are such a great overall company. They don't have sulfates or paraben. My stylist told me those are what cause build up in hair. Ever since I used it my hair has felt so much better!
@thatnrselife In our charting an indication for foleys are critically ill patients and then under that we document continuous use of sedation/paralytics
