@ironmiggs@Breaking911 some of us are happy to pay a bit more for high quality milk thats made canadian farmers as opposed to low quality hormone filled blakcrock cowjuice produced by mexican labour on corporate kholkozes.
@MAGAA_BIGLY@UCCavalier hey idiot, how do you manage 2.3 million square miles of unbroken boreal forest with no roads, airstrips, ways in or ways out? You know how much it would cost per year to "manage" these forests? $260 billion dollars is a conservative estimate.
@JakeEaglelmao@UCCavalier You wont trade retard. An independent alberta will have one product and one customer, and that customer will pay you whatever the hell it feels like paying. You will be a pipeline with a parliament.
@hotdogwater69_@tonybalogna Its the high temperatures of the last few years due to el nino. Its increased temperatures enough that we are starting to see tick populations explode and even possums in ontario. Will it last? i dont know. But it has dried up alot of undergrowth up north.
@hotdogwater69_@tonybalogna Its managed the same fucking way you tard. The big difference is several years of high temperatures have created alot of dried out underbrush. And this year, the prevailing winds blew the smoke south, as opposed to where the smoke is normally blown
@Lewis_R_W@tonybalogna its too bloody remote to be economical. Especially since Trump slapped massive tariffs on our lumber. There are roads up there so long and so remote that if your car breaks down you can starve to death before another car comes along.
@masadaboy48@CovfefeAnon can you fucking read? 1) most of this area is so remote you cant get to it to do a controlled burn 2) the Biome doesnt support controlled burns. Its far denser. You can travel for weeks and never leave the tree canopy.
@CovfefeAnon@SeroScarcity Heres the truth..burns happen all the time here. Huge ones. You cannot "manage" these forests. They are immense, and there is no way in or not. The difference is, most of the time the wind is not blowing your way, so you dont notice it.
@genericmainer@uncledoomer you cant clear brush on 2.3 million square miles of boreal forests you tard. These are being caused by lightning strikes into forests so vast and remote you can travel for a week and not see another town.
