Sorry you fell for the fake news. The pew study was being misinterpreted by non-statisticians. You quoted Crisis magazine who includes exactly ZERO experts in polling and zero mathmaticians. They screwed up and anyone looking at the data can see that. You can look at reputable polling organizations and see that Protestantism is collapsing at the same time that Catholicism is growing. Consider these polls from the top Polling Organizations of PRRI, Statista, and Gallup all showing Catholicism growing with the population while protestantism collapses.
