If you have ADHD kids, forget “hide and go seek.” Teach them games like “figure out where this goes and then keep it there!” 😆 MUCH more helpful life skill
Signed, someone who has had to run home 3 times because she can’t remember what is there and what is at the office
Where did you first get the idea that the only acceptable version of yourself is one that involves essentially…not having #ADHD?
I’ll go first
The lost and found box walk of shame
🧵My best friend (Black woman) & I were pregnant at the same time 18 yrs ago. We both had preeclampsia, hers undiagnosed as her symptoms were written off. I was put on bed rest & hospitalized. She was told to relax. A week after she gave birth, the day my son was born, she died.

The INCONSISTENCY.
@bschlenker People overfocussed on a few elements of game design that can turn quite toxic when implemented by themselves because they encourage competition and not necessarily encourage learning, engagement and exploration for its own sake. Like awarding points and leader boards.
@NS_online Hoe komt het dat bij een trein naar Zuid Frankrijk 9 van de 10 opties zijn voorzien van het predikaat "alleen dienstregeling, niet te boeken" Hoe krijg ik een kaartje voor die treinen dan?
Not only is it possible to have ADHD even if you got good grades in school, but it's likely you’ll suffer longer without support or treatment because the people in your life assume that anyone who is smart can't suffer from ADHD.
@johngreen Before you go, thank you for writing some of my favorite books of all time! Is there anywhere else we can find updates from you in the future? Another social media? Newsletter? Carrier pigeon? Screaming into the ether at the same time?
