@mirageavci @BillyChatterton I'd like to think it's a similar timeline so Worlds 2027 is more than likely when you take in the fact they wanted to announce this during Worlds last year but scrapped it last second... If you remember there was a lot of talk about some big reveal at Worlds

UE5 was announced in May '20, FN switched to UE5 in December '21 and UE5 fully released in April '22

@Abdallah_Dobal @antcrdbl I mean that's probably why Epic laid off a ton of people. It's normal in the gaming industry to lay people off once a huge bulk of work is done on a project and they keep just the core staff to polish/finish the project, which in this case was likely RL & FN on UE6 & UE6 itself

I imagine the most likely scenario being that UE6 launches on RL next year during/right after Worlds

@WHENRLUE5 @LawlerTV @RocketLeague @RLEsports Additionally UE4 was announced in 2012 and released in '14, UE5 was announced in '20 and released in '22 and Fortnite ported to UE5 in '21... UE6 was first mentioned last year iirc so we might be playing UE6 RL before the end of the year, although I think that's really optimistic

@WHENRLUE5 @LawlerTV @RocketLeague @RLEsports Once UE5 gets to 5.9 it won't go to 6.0 it's gonna go to 5.10 because that's how versioning usually works... UE4 was on 4.27 when 5 launched so 5.8 might as well be the last UE5 version for all we know

So far there have been 2 betas for steam iirc and they both lasted for a couple of weeks before coming as an official update to both PC and Xbox
