@CryptChaz@Agent0ai The discord is chill. Our dev knows how to the thing but the marketing is not his strenght. Luckily, no garbage well marketed. Patience will reward imo. The discord is nice.

This update by @virtuals_io is in the right direction, but has some design issues for devs, which I'll go over π
Also, I predict one Agent will benefit in the short term from these changes. Keep reading to learn which one π
There is a meta game forming around points: avoid the penalty for being in Jail and keep stacking points to access more launches
πAgents that dont have Lock Status anymore are seeing dumps across the board, as people feel safe selling cause it won't put you in Jail. See GLORIA for an example (even tho their unlocking bucket is for CEX fees and Liquidity)
On the other hand, Agents with Locks will continue to go up as people won't sell to avoid Jail and will stack them for Diamond Hand points
The design issues I see:
1β£ It is a mechanic that is too Virgin-focused.
The beauty with Virtuals is that the flywheel is positive sum, everyone benefits, Virtuals, Agent Devs, and Virgens
This mechanic sets an incentive for people to hold Agents with the locked icon and frees people up to dump new launches that have had dev unlocks
It is only benefiting teams that can afford not to have any early unlocks by either having previous funding, or being super lean and experimental
Ultimately, it incentivizes people to hold Agents where teams have full locks, its only thinking about Virgens making points, not about the needs for team to produce runway, so it might put the focus on the wrong thing
2β£ It might deter more ambitious devs from launching on Virtuals
Why?
Well, as a dev launching on Virtuals, you are not really making a penny from the launch
Fund raising against your token is very hard, given that 37.5% of it will be accessible for Public through Virtuals launchpad at a very low valuation ($150k-$200k), a good portion will be sniped post launch, and then the rest is going to be available at moderate valuations, why would I buy pre-TGE if I can just pick it up later on the market at low vals
This format is well suited for experimental and small teams that can benefit from starting small, growing organically, and operate with the trading fees cashback, but it is not well suited for bigger teams which require more day 1 funding
The only plausible way for Agents to raise funds right now by launching on Virtuals at bigger scales are:
1. Raise with a second infrastructure token (@0xjeff mentions this in his last article)
2. Closing OTC deals with your live token
3. Using Treasury allocation to produce runway sustainably
Option 2 and 3 are being penalized here, and I think that should not always be the case, there should be a threshold or standard
What I think is the solution?
I think there should be more intricacy than: Dev unlock = bad
If a team has a proper Tokenomic distribution and a reasonable vesting schedule, it shouldn't be penalized.
To use @itsgloria_ai as an example again:
Gloria has two dev unlocks from day 1:
- Liquidity (6%)
- Treasury (10%)
They are distributed over 1 year, that's 0.04% supply per day, I think that is more than reasonable and sustainable, and very standard in high-quality web3 projects
The rug risk is basically non-existent with a schedule like that, and you allow serious teams to produce runway over time and seed liquidity, ultimately creating a more sustainable ecosystem where devs and Agents can thrive
I would set a minimum threshold for Team Allocation and a recommended vesting schedule that is considered safe, this way we don't hurt and deter serious devs from coming to build on Virtuals
Right now, the incentives for larger teams dont seem to be there
πLastly, which Agent I predict will benefit from this change in the short term?
Right now, there are only 3 agents live with Locks: WHIM, BADAI, and BIOS. BIOS and BADAI already have had unlocks, I believe this is a bug and they should not be showing the Locked icon, so WHIM is the only one where the team is still 100% locked, and these two should lose their status imo.
So WHIM should continue to trend up after its launch given that they still have a 30 day lock up and they are the only Agent right now people cant sell without being in Jail and which will provide Diamond Hand Bonuses
NFA but my prediction is we see WHIM go on a good run these next couple days
This is potentially the issue with this mechanic, I dont know much about WHIM or their team, but the incentives that are in place will cause that particular Agent to go up and the rest of recent launches to have short term free falls due to today's change
Would love to hear the thoughts of other knowledgeable people in the ecosystem like @NickPlaysCrypto@VaderResearch@condzxyz & others!
Last goal for the captain on the Croatia jersey. Thank you, Domagoj Duvnjak. It's been a pleasure to see you play ππ·π

ππ·π₯ Croatia handball finishes 2nd at World Championships. They should be proud as they absolutely over-achieved this tournament!
Croatia lost to Denmark 32-26 Sunday evening in Oslo. Denmark have now won the World Handball title four tournaments in a row (2019, 2021, 2023, 2025) and are reigning Olympic gold medalists (2024 Paris).
To give you some context, itβs not easy to beat Denmark in handball this decade.
