Every sample tells a story: fieldwork, logistics, lab work, and science moving forward one step at a time.
Working with crocodiles means combining biology, conservation, and technology to understand ecosystem health.

Ese brillo en sus ojos se debe al tapetum lucidum, que les ayuda a ver mejor de noche. ¿Lo sabías #Cocodrilos#Anatomía#VidaNocturna
That shine in their eyes comes from the tapetum lucidum, which helps them see better at night. Did you know? #CrocFact#Anatomy#NocturnalLife
Tres cocodrilos... ⛑️, boquillas temporales, todo bajo protocolo. Registramos, tomamos muestras y ¡de vuelta al agua!
Three crocodiles... ⛑️, temporary mouth covers, all under protocol. We record, sample, and back to the water! #AnimalWelfare#Conservation#Fieldwork
Antes de la ciencia… ¡logística! Manglar, remolque y ganas. Así empieza un día (o noche) de muestreo. #Manglar#Campo#CienciaMexico
Before the science… logistics! Mangrove, trailer and grit. That’s how a sampling day (or night) begins. #Mangrove#BehindScenes#MexicanScience

🧬 Unraveling the Secrets of RNA-seq! 🧩🔍
How does not RNA-seq differs from qRT-PCR and microarrays? 🤔 Let's break it down:
In qRT-PCR & #microarrays, we pick specific #genes to understand responses (e.g., studying estrogen regulated genes due to a pesticide's effects).
But with RNA-seq, we go big! 🌟 We measure ALL #RNA sequences, unleashing a treasure of info. 📊
Here's the twist: it's raw data! Bioinformatics decodes this #genetic#puzzle. Imagine a giant jigsaw with tiny pieces, revealing a massive picture (i.e. genome of our target sp.)
