Often those who are not resident are still cultivating but others who are resident are neglecting. Pursuing the former but not the latter fair?
140 years ago today, 19th April 1882 is the day commemorated for the ‘Battle of the Braes’, land rights struggle, in the Isle of Skye. My great grandparents, Neil Buchanan and his wife Mary MacPherson were crofters at Peinachorran in Braes at the time.
