We are amazed that our group of willing and able volunteers has now reached almost 50, a tribute to the Cromer spirit of community.
Having asked why people freely give their time we realise it’s not all about helping to clear litter from our streets.

We would like to say a big thank you to Jason Sterne Builders for their continued support in providing us with brand new grabbers and hoops.
Ordered to our specification they are perfect for the job and were very well-received by today’s litter pickers on our 17th pick.
A big thank you to @TheCliftonville for hosting our social evening again in the opulent surroundings of the Henry Blogg Room.
It was lovely to get to know some of our regular pickers and meet new ones too.

Not a bad haul of litter during yesterday evening’s pick, with a remarkable 15 volunteers taking part.
So many thank you’s on our rounds too, spurring us on, please do say hello if you see us out on the streets of Cromer.

We pick up a lot of cardboard fish and chip boxes when out litter picking, which go into our general waste bags.
We have clarified with NNDC that it is unfortunately not possible to recycle these boxes as, once contaminated with food stuff they cannot be recycled.
Another great litter pick today and it was lovely to welcome younger members to the team. Iyla-Mae and her brother Teddy (a little camera-shy) did a great job and said they want to come again.
It’s lovely to see all sections of the community involved (smaller vests on the way)
With four weeks of litter picking under our belt, and many bags of litter collected, we have established a really great team.
With the main areas of the sea front and town centre covered are there any other areas you feel would benefit from a litter pick?
