honestly, I'm in a season of spiritual dryness. no zeal to post about God, struggling to read my Bible, skipping quiet times. the well feels empty. but even in the wilderness, He hasn't left.
The Pre-Trib Rapture is False.
John 6 says believers are raised on the last day, not seven years before the last day.
Jesus prayed that His people would not be taken out of the world, but kept from evil.
Noah was not raptured before the flood warning. He was preserved through judgment.
Israel was not removed from Egypt before the plagues. They were protected through them.
Daniel was not removed from the lions’ den. God kept him in it.
The three Hebrews were not removed before the fire. Christ met them in it.
The word “tribulation” does not mean God has abandoned His people. It proves they are His people.
Revelation tells us saints will be on earth during end-time persecution.
Revelation 13 says the beast makes war with the saints. If the Pre-trib rapture is true, explain why saints are still here.
Revelation 14 tells is that God’s faithful people will be here right before the harvest of the earth.
The book of Revelation is meticulously structured and was designed to give the Christian hope because from Chapter 18-22, it's retribution, redemption and final reward of the faithful, the end of the book gives hope.
One need only look at current-day christianity, and take a fleeting glance at the New Testament to understand that these are two completely different religions.
What most christians consider to be the Holy Spirit when worshipping is frisson. The brief tingling sensation or shiver that runs down the spine, typically triggered by an intense emotional or aesthetic experience. It’s just emotional arousal!!!!!
If you were harmless or irrelevant they would just ignore you. But they can't do that because your very existence is a threat to their narrative. When people come after you to denounce, rebuke or ridicule you, they aren't doing it to harm you because they have something personal against you, or because they don't like you, its a desperate act of self preservation in the face of a truth that is shattering everything they've believed until now. They have to denounce you because what you are saying, and what you stand for systematically dismantles the false idol they've built their entire identity and life around. It's denounce you or die for them. This is what it's like when you've become a force to be reckoned with.
I love people who are intellectually omnivorous.
The kind who can discuss folklore, black holes, bird migration, poetry, and grocery store pricing in a single conversation without getting lost.
30 Reasons why Maccabees is of the Devil.
1. 2 Maccabees teaches prayer for dead people.
2. It shows money collected for a sin offering for dead soldiers.
3. It suggests the living can help the dead after death.
4. Rome uses this passage to support purgatory.
5. The dead soldiers were carrying pagan charms.
6. They died in sin, then an offering was made for them.
7. The Bible says after death comes judgment. Hebrews 9:27.
8. Christ offered one sacrifice for sins forever. Hebrews 10:12.
9. 2 Maccabees weakens that clear teaching.
10. Onias, a dead priest, appears in a vision.
11. Jeremiah, a dead prophet, also appears.
12. Jeremiah gives Judas a golden sword from beyond the grave.
13. That sounds too close to dealing with the dead.
14. Scripture warns against seeking the dead. Deuteronomy 18:10–12.
15. Razis kills himself in 2 Maccabees 14.
16. His suicide is presented as brave and noble.
17. That is dangerous teaching for Bible students.
18. The book contains violent scenes that are praised too strongly.
19. It leans heavily on national pride.
20. It gives little clear gospel light.
21. It does not speak like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, or Daniel.
22. It has no strong “Thus says the Lord” authority.
23. The writer of 2 Maccabees admits his work may be imperfect.
24. He says if the writing is poor, he did his best. Inspired prophets do not speak that way.
25. The Jews did not place Maccabees in the Hebrew Bible.
26. Jesus never quoted Maccabees as Scripture.
27. The apostles never quoted Maccabees as Scripture.
28. The New Testament never calls Maccabees inspired.
29. Some of its teachings helped Rome build false doctrine.
30. It does not belong on the same level as the Word of God.
30 Reasons the Book of Enoch is Complete Nonsense.
1. Angels leave heaven because they lust after women.
2. Two hundred angels make a secret oath on a mountain.
3. Angels marry human women.
4. Women give birth to giants.
5. The giants are described as impossibly huge.
6. The giants eat all the food people have.
7. After the food is gone, the giants start eating people.
8. The giants drink blood.
9. Angels teach women makeup and jewelry as if this ruined the world.
10. Angels teach men how to make weapons.
11. Angels teach people astrology.

16. Enoch travels through heaven and sees secret places.
17. Enoch sees storehouses for wind.
18. Enoch sees storehouses for snow.
19. Enoch sees storehouses for hail.
20. Enoch sees stars kept in prison.
21. Some stars are treated like guilty beings.
22. The sun moves through heavenly gates.
23. The moon moves by a strange gate system too.
24. The book gives long angel names not found in Scripture.
25. It builds a whole angel world the Bible never teaches.
26. It gives details about heaven that God never gave through Moses, the prophets, Jesus, or the apostles.
27. It speaks as if secret knowledge is needed.
28. It adds a large story to Genesis 6 that Genesis itself does not give.
29. It was never part of the Hebrew Bible Jesus used.
30. Jesus never told His followers to receive Enoch as Scripture.
That is why many Bible believers reject it. It reads more like religious folklore than the clean, steady voice of God’s Word.
I am a Seventh day Adventist. This is how I was taught to study the Bible.
Three Bibles, one just outside the frame. A notebook and pen for writing down passages. My laptop open. The television on, with Pastor Doug Batchelor teaching.
My remote is beside me, and so is my daughter with her computer.
I pause the message often to fact check what he says, just like the Bereans did when Paul preached.
That is Adventism. Test everything by Scripture. When you know the Bible, you can say with the full assurance of truth backing you, "It is written."
