@coachzblair10@Rupputation The only teammates or people who are gonna remember that the rest of their lives are the people who didn’t grow up and do anything with their lives. I love sports, I coach, but I don’t remember who did or didn’t do something in high school. I found better things to focus on
The other weekend i was tilling up more of our yard, and my 6yo heard my wife say “all those years of people saying you couldn’t, and now, you just do it.”
Bedtime that night, he said “dad, why did you become a farmer?”
“I wanted to and they said i couldn’t. That’s who i am.”
Imagine thinking because an operation incorporates modern technology they are doing it wrong. It all works together. Crops. Cattle. Sheep. It’s all about diversity. You can be “regenerative” and modern. It’s economical, it’s efficient, and it works.
@Hessxxpress@Campbellgrain@ranchyplains@sovernTranch@Hoosier_V@Salladtattoos Why do I need to set side my acres for testing when what I’m doing is working. I’m rotating, resting, utilizing manure, running a pair per acre and half. Building soil. So why do I need to do research? So I can sell it in a book and you’ll buy it and then pay to come to a seminar
@ranchyplains@Campbellgrain@Hessxxpress@sovernTranch@Hoosier_V@Salladtattoos 100%. I’m like that with Salatin. He openly admitted on a podcast one time he uses “unpaid interns” to run all his businesses. Says that the experience they gain is their payment and if they don’t make him money see you bye. That ain’t right
@ranchyplains@Campbellgrain@Hessxxpress@sovernTranch@Hoosier_V@Salladtattoos Now do I utilize some things they preach, and have learned some things from some of their principles, absolutely. But there’s been cases some of what they preach actually costs me more money then it makes me. They are not a savior
@Campbellgrain@ranchyplains@Hessxxpress@sovernTranch@Hoosier_V@Salladtattoos Because to me if they did, they wouldn’t need you to pay money to subscribe to them, buy their books, buy their programs, and make money off you to implement their programs. They got rich not because of what the do, but because people pay them for their “secrets”.
@Campbellgrain@ranchyplains@Hessxxpress@sovernTranch@Hoosier_V@Salladtattoos This is my argument for the “experts” they’ve referenced. If Dave Ramsey, Greg Judy, Joel Salatin, Gabe Brown were so successful with their programs, then why do they need to charge people and sell books so you can model them? Did they get rich doing what they do?
Eric took the stage at UNC Chapel Hill to deliver a commencement speech to the next generation of Tar Heels, sharing a message for the graduates as they step into what comes next.

@bobsaget2018@conservativeoh1@sovernTranch Because seeing misinformation and lies about a way of life that’s different than his gets old. I’m not telling him off, I’m just pointing out what he’s saying is false. It’s the internet, if you post something you’re open to rebuttal, correct?
@louchristopher@sovernTranch I never said I have a flying fuck what he does. Not a single comment about him. What I care is that he’s spreading lies and misinformation about what myself and a lot of farmers like me are doing, that’s my problem. Also it’s the internet, don’t post if you can’t take rebuttal.
@BLW7791@sovernTranch Again, quit listening to the fear mongering. Do you also question the environmental impact of lithium batteries in electric cars? Windmills? Solar Panels? Organic Farming that factually uses more herbicides than conventional? Do you question those practices?
