It's with mixed emotions that today is my last day at SARDI @SA_PIRSA. Been an honour to serve the SA pulse industry for ~9 yrs in RD&E @CropWatchSA
But I'm super excited to join @GRDC_NVT team at end July! I look forward to serving the grains industry in my new role 🌾🌱
Seeing some pink cereal heads in the paddock at this end of the season? This is likely opportunistic yeast growth from wet and humid conditions. These yeasts aren't pathogens and are acting similarly to field moulds growing on senesced plant tissue.
Is your canola flowering in SA? We'd love some for a #sclerotinia collection for a national @theGRDC @nswdpi project.
If you're able to help, pls DM, email or text. We'll provide collection tubs & paid return Exp Post satchel. @Mohsen_Khani_N@CropWatchSA
RT appreciated 🙏

SA growers, please let me know if AB in lentil is being seen across our state. So far, seems reports are mostly restricted to the YP. @CropWatchSA
Let me know via DM, phone, or email. TIA.
Blackspot Manager forecast indicates most of SA is now at a low risk of blackspot disease in seedling #fieldpea sown now. A few locations still considered medium risk.

How do we know what rust pathotypes are present in SA? Sydney Uni's Australian Cereal Rust Survey collects this data. SA 2022 Stripe rust results are still undergoing analysis, but based on varietal responses we are suspecting multiple pathotypes. https://t.co/l2eho0wWGN
Trying to decide if you need another spray this season for stripe rust? Give the Stripe Rust WM app a go, it will help calculate potential yield losses and the economics of fungicide application.

Receiving many reports of Choc Spot (CS) on PBA Bendoc beans (rated S)
Current weather = optimal disease conditions, infection can progress quickly @CropWatchSA
Check fungicide registered for CS, label rates, rotate fungicide groups & apply ahead of rain.
Hi SA #chickpea growers. Please see Melody's request for assistance.
Alternatively if you're willing to assist, you can also DM me direct for a collection kit and paid return envelope. SARDI will isolate the pathogen and send the fungus to Melody 🦠 @CropWatchSA
Looking forward to speaking at the Tooligie Pulse Day on 14th Sept.
Pls bring along your #AscochytaBlight on lentil, faba or chickpea, & #sclerotinia on canola or pulses. They'll contribute to the SARDI isolate collection & multiple @theGRDC research investments @CropWatchSA
Putting a fungicide out? Please check your pulse crop for #AscochytaBlight first.
Im seeking AB on lentil, faba, & chickpea for @theGRDC projects. Samples without a recent spray are best for isolate collection.
DM me for a paid return Express Post envelope @CropWatchSA
