Seeing some pink cereal heads in the paddock at this end of the season? This is likely opportunistic yeast growth from wet and humid conditions. These yeasts aren't pathogens and are acting similarly to field moulds growing on senesced plant tissue.

How do we know what rust pathotypes are present in SA? Sydney Uni's Australian Cereal Rust Survey collects this data. SA 2022 Stripe rust results are still undergoing analysis, but based on varietal responses we are suspecting multiple pathotypes. https://t.co/l2eho0wWGN

Current weather = optimal disease conditions, infection can progress quickly @CropWatchSA

Check fungicide registered for CS, label rates, rotate fungicide groups & apply ahead of rain.
