Happy New Year to everyone
On this first day of the year, we are excited to share some wonderful news.
We are delighted to announce that Cross-Culture Hub has received funding from the National Lottery Awards to support our sewing and craft activities, starting in March 2026.
Although our volunteers were at the Hub to teach sewing to young people, we did not have any young participants. However the women learned cutting & measurement-techniques.
Please send your Children to our Intergenerational Skill-Sharing sessions where they'll learn basic sewing.
This summer's launch of the intergenerational skill-sharing session was fantastic. It was great to see both generations actively engaging and showing great enthusiasm for the activity.
Please join our special Intergenerational Sewing Skill-Sharing sessions where women of our sewing group will help girls to learn basic sewing techniques during this Summer Break.
Thanks to all the lovely ladies who participated and shared their thoughts in todayโs second session of Shaping the Conversation about their health research priorities.
We had a great time leading a session with amazing women from diverse communities on Shaping the Conversation about their health research priorities. Everyone found the topic interesting and informative. Thanks to all who participated and shared their thoughts!

I am truly honoured to be nominated for the BBC Radio Solent Make a Difference Award. It is a great feeling to be recognised for my efforts to contribute positively to my community. I am thankful to all those who recommended me and Cross-Culture Hub for this award.
May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month.
Regularly checking your skin for signs of skin cancer can help lead to an early diagnosis, and increase your chance of successful treatment.

Our sewing-group will be hosting a stall with handmade products at Cross-Culture Hub during an event on 24th March from 10am to 2pm.
This event is organised by Hampshire Police in partnership with other agencies.
We invite you to join and support us & other local organisations.
This year, we're joining the International Women's Day Walk on 9th March 2024, with SUSTRANS to support our friend Jacqueline Tuson, who is leading this walk.
We'd love for you to come along and wear purple clothes to celebrate the achievements of the women around the world.
