poker is just rock, paper, scissors.
if your opponent throws rock 50%, throw paper 100%.
if your opponent bluffs too much, call every bluff catcher.
if your opponent folds too much, bluff every non showdown value hand.
if your opponent calls too much, bet every thin value hand for a larger size.

everyone asks if they should go pro.
i always say no.
not because poker's a bad career. because if me saying "no" is enough to stop you, you were never going to make it anyway.
when i hit my first real downswing, i was ready to quit. told my girlfriend at the time (now my wife) i was done.
she looked at me and said "every time something gets hard, you quit. you're never going to have success."
that fucking hurt.
so i didn't quit. i tripled down.
10am at the casino. play till 6pm. drive across town. play till 11pm. six days a week. seventh day? study. review hands. fix leaks. repeat.
poker isn't freedom from work. it's trading a 40-hour week with a boss for a 70-hour week where YOU are the boss. and you better be the strictest boss you've ever had.
because nobody's making you show up saturday after losing 8 buyins friday. nobody's making you study sunday when you played till 2am.
if you need "freedom" to skip work when you don't feel like it, get a 9-5. you'll make more money and hate your life less.
poker makes a great hobby. terrible career for 99% of people.
but if you can't be talked out of it? if me saying "no" just makes you want it more?
this is why i say no. not to stop you. to see if you'll stop yourself.
@JoeSalOG@Joe_Schepis@JACKClePoker There's probably 6-10 dealers that can deal it competently. Probably a few more as long as the players aren't idiots
