โจHow to use @Discord to replace Twitterโจ
Using a private Discord server, I've managed create a custom "news feed" to replace my dependence on Twitter.
It's setup specifically for "gaming" news at the moment, but it could theoretically work for anything!

@TheFanatiker Hello! Hope all's good with you. Stumbled upon your "YouTube Plays" program and was wondering if you still keep it updated? Had a go at running it, but bumping into some glitches.
Would love to get some help and happy to compensate you for your time! ๐
@TheFanatiker So basically the buttons are acting "sticky" and I'm not sure if that's intended or not.
If I say "down" in chat the character moves as if the button is being held. But also If I say "up" the character stops and then after that no other commands in chat seem to work.

Of course, the ONLY reason this works is because some game companies bothered to create Discord communities in the first place. So thank you to all of them!!
I haven't dug into it yet, but I bet there's also plenty of bots that can help pull all kinds of news stories as well.
@MayorMori If the old channels are still getting views from old content, you need to at the very least remove the old content. (Unless of course your new content is similar.)
Otherwise I don't see any reason not to refresh an old channel. Just be sure to remember it essentially has 0 subs.
In all seriousness, please don't forget to download any photos and screenshot any tweets that you don't want to potentially lose.
I mean, the site *could* come back eventually if Twitter is re-staffed but why take the chance?
Grain of salt but this is what downdetector looks like right now for Twitter. (These could be fake reports of course. I'm gripped right now either way๐ )
