Hello! My name is Crow, and I’m a writer over on AO3!

Welcome to something I’m calling “One Artist a Week!”

The idea is pretty simple: every week, I want to commission an artist for around $30–$40 to draw a scene they genuinely enjoyed from one of my stories.

If you’ve read any of my work, liked it, and there’s a scene you’d love to draw, I’d be more than happy to commission you!

My DMs are open, but there are a few things I want to make clear first:

1. My budget is around $30–$40 a week.

If you’re interested, I’ll put you on a list and message you when your turn comes around to be slapped with some cash.

2. Please already have a scene in mind.

You absolutely do not have to read the entire story. Although, obviously, I think my stories are pretty good, so I’m not going to stop you.

But the whole point of this is for artists who have actually read something I’ve written and found a scene they liked.

If you comment or DM me asking, “What scene do you want me to draw?” I’ll probably ignore the message. I’m sorry, but I’ll most likely assume it’s a bot or someone who hasn’t actually read the story.

Tell me what scene YOU liked!

3. No AI art.

Please. I do not want AI-generated artwork for this.

I want to support actual artists.

4. Your artwork will actually be added to the story!

If you draw a scene, I’ll place the finished artwork into the story around the part where that scene happens so readers get a little visual to go along with it.

And, of course, you’ll be fully credited.

Trust me. I will make sure people KNOW who made it.

5. If you need help with characters, references, descriptions, or anything else, PLEASE DM me!

I will gladly crack open my skull and hand you whatever little piece of information from my brain you need.

And that’s basically it!

This whole thing is mostly just something fun I want to do to interact with people who enjoy my writing, support artists, and hopefully give both the artists and my stories a little more attention along the way.

I think the most confusing thing for me is how everything is 3D animated. (At least bigger company's like Disney) like you think they would turn to 2d animation, seeing how everyone is basically asking for it.

writing fics as an artist is hard because you want to give the reader a clear and detailed understanding of the scene as you see it in your head, but from a writers standpoint you also have to make it concise so everything flows better and is easy to read
