You’re right of course but we do it because we love to do it, no one makes us do it and without everyone pulling together, committee, management, players and volunteers pulling together, you’ll not achieve anything.
We all need each other in the end.
For anyone that cares to be a football club chairman…. I just spent 4-5 hours tonight on creating a spreadsheet on financial forecasts for the entire club for next season 🤓
To all players, these are the hours you don’t see. After a long slog at work, we then do a double shift so you can all play football (all for nothing!!!). Just remember that when you see members of staff around the club, just a little thank you can go along way. We do it out of pure love & to give back.
I didn’t have any clue about what goes on behind the scenes when I was playing. So much hard work, admin, emails, meetings, money etc.
Great idea, it’s definitely needed since the demise of local newspapers due to “clicks” being more important to the owners than actually serving the local community.
We will help wherever we can to make your venture a success.
Sometimes you have to be grateful to those that had forethought and worked hard to make sure they built a facility that looked into the future.
Even the FA changing the grading conditions will not impact us very much should we be in such a position as North Leigh FC.
83, U23 Crows 4-2 Hailsham Town.
Crows generally on top, referee has just awarded the Crows a corner after London was brought down in the box, even the centre half was amazed no penalty was given.
The officials have had a good game so far, no yellow cards at all.
70, U23 Crows 4-2 Hailsham Town.
London puts the ball in the back of the net for his hat trick after receiving the ball from left back Hinkson, he runs from his half on to the ball, dribbles into the box before wrong footing the defenders and goalie.
50, U23 Crows 3-2 Hailsham Town.
London finishes off a good move by the Crows at the near post. Can’t see this being the end of the scoring as both sides are looking to go forward at every opportunity.
48, U23 Crows 2-2 Hailsham Town.
A great free kick from around 25 yards out, which gave the Crows goalie, Ted Nettle, no chance, excellent effort by the Stringers player.
H/T U23 Crows 2-1 Hailsham.
Crows have looked energetic and playing some good stuff.
Stringers came into the game in the last 10 mins of the half. Good game to watch overall.
Let’s hope the second half is as good from both sides.
35, U23 Crows 2-1 Hailsham Town. Entertaining game with plenty of attacking intent.
A 25 yard strike by Styles and a neat London finish after a great passing move put Crows 2-0 up.
Stringers have just pulled one back after a failed clearance by a defender.
