After nearly two years, the Academy Showdown audiobook is available on YouTube! It's fully voice-acted by a talented cast and narrated by yours truly! The covers, updated character sprites, and animation (Part 2) were done by @InkKnight54! Check the video links for the podcast versions! 👀
Here are the links to both parts. I'm currently working on combining them into a single video which is set for release sometime this Spring. 🤞
Until then, check these out if you haven't already and let me know what you think! 💪💯🔥

@DashAttackVT@cartoonnetwork@VIZMedia Funny enough, they forgot to censor it during the little montage during Naruto and Sasuke's fight with Haku. I remember thinking, "Oh, so they DID animate that!" 🤔🤣
@squidorabl Hey, there's no harm in using gen AI as a reference, especially when it's something that YOU created. I understand why artists feel the way that they do, but if you're just doing it for fun or for a hobby, I feel like sometimes those folks need to chill. 🤣
What’s actually stupid (and immature) is taking someone else’s polite request as a personal insult.
She doesn’t have to get involved in this if she doesn’t want to. If someone asks people not to use their photos, likeness, or content to fuel online arguments, that really shouldn’t be a difficult concept to grasp.
It reminds me of the overly political crowd (left or right) that insists everyone must pick a side so they can decide how to treat them moving forward. It’s exhausting and a complete waste of energy.
And for the record, I actually agree with your broader point. But if someone doesn’t want to be dragged into a debate or used as ammunition for one, that’s their prerogative. At the end of the day, people can do what they want—it's the Internet—but if someone makes a reasonable public request, the CONSIDERATE thing to do is to respect it.
She's saying she doesn't want her or her likeness to be included in this discussion. And yet, you found a way to make this about you. What, are you mad that she isn't picking a side? She clearly doesn't want to be involved in this discourse and honestly, who could blame her? It's all B.S. at the end of the day.
AAA is unironically the best WWE show going right now. To think that what started as a short-term joke gimmick would evolve into one of the hottest Lucha de Apuestas feuds in recent years—and between two foreigners, no less—still blows my mind. 🤣💪💯🔥
What a ride this whole thing has been.
Matthew Lillard criticized the industry for prioritizing celebrities over voice actors in animation:
“The ability to carry a film, as the lead of a film with only a voice, is a power very few people have. The idea that they keep hiring crappy celebrities to carry huge films is killing us.”
Just because you find some anime that you think speaks to you doesn’t mean the show shares your politics, left wingers and right wingers need to learn anime isn’t a monolith meant to indoctrinate kids to their way of thinking like western entertainment is
I still remember when Sydsnap was clowning on Ashigei Shoujo Komura-san and foot-fetish manga fans in general, while simultaneously being able to talk for HOURS about why tentacle hentai was peak fiction. I remember thinking, "How TF is that any better?!" 🤣🤣🤣
The irony was always hilarious to me. We all have our niche interests, but acting like one is somehow "normal" compared to the other is wild. 😂
