A married man traveled for a business trip to one of the cities in Nigeria (name withheld).

He was having a quick meeting with a client at the reception area of the hotel where he was staying.

The elevator of the hotel was directly facing the area where he was seated with his client.

Then the elevator door opened.

He saw a man coming out with his MIL and holding her by her waist.

Their eyes made contact, but neither greeted the other.

His mother-in-law is in her late 40s or early 50s.

Her husband suffered a partial stroke that has almost incapacitated him.

He said that he couldn't finish his meeting and had to make an excuse to leave to meet up later with his client.

He has since returned home to his wife.

His mother-in-law called his wife a few days ago and asked to speak with him, just to greet him.

He took the call like nothing happened.

He said he has been troubled and wants to tell his wife what he saw about her mother.

He asked:

"Àgbà, what do you think I should do?"

I believe you all know what my response would be to him.

But if you don't, please go ahead to advise him on what to do.

This is not his business, but he needs to try and ask his wife of her opinion if she found out his mother was cheating on his father what would be her reaction. Or use a different couple as an example, and try to find out her opinion on such case. So he can know the kind of woman he is married to.
