Der Film zeigt nicht die weichgespülte Version des 7. Oktober, nicht die politisch bequeme Zusammenfassung für Leute, die bei klaren Fakten plötzlich Ausschlag bekommen. Er zeigt die brutale Realität, den Terror der Hamas, die Gewalt gegen Juden, die gezielten Massaker an Zivilisten und das Ausmaß eines antisemitischen Verbrechens, das bis heute von vielen relativiert oder sogar gefeiert wird.

Dass Teile der Medienwelt und der Branche damit ein Problem haben, sagt am Ende mehr über sie aus als über den Film. Denn wer die Wahrheit nur dann erträgt, wenn sie ins eigene Weltbild passt, hat kein Problem mit „Sensibilität“, sondern mit der Realität.

Genau deshalb ist diese Dokumentation wichtig, sie zeigt nicht nur die Verbrechen des 7. Oktober. Sie zeigt auch, wie unangenehm Wahrheit wird, sobald sie nicht mehr in die bequeme Erzählung passt.
