Human connection, faith that matters, and hope for the world. Jesus changes things. Journeyers who've found ourselves wanting to love Jesus. #thisiswhyicru

Crying out, asking Jesus, What on earth? Is your Kingdom real? What is going on? Can we count on you for mercy?
These are painful questions. https://t.co/OXN1KM3EzR
The music of @iamjonguerra might be just the friend you need to put words to it. Take a listen.
Last night the thoughtful & brilliant @KaitlynSchiess asked a series of questions that sparked some deep thoughts & interactions. For context, see screenshots of what I singled out to answer. My heart ached off & on all night thinking about some of the replies to her questions.->
"These are questions that leave us exposed, wondering, after nursing on the conforming drink for so long, What have I become? (see 2 Sam. 12.7)"

"Some have called this process deconstruction. It’s been more of an overhaul remodel for me. I’ve had to go down to the studs."

One of the greatest challenges of our age: A lot of us are very confident about things we know very little about.
The way forward?
Charity, humility, curiosity.
It grieves me to know so many young Christians who are currently going through crises of faith, trying to reconcile the Gospel they’ve been taught with the actions of the ppl who taught them that Gospel.
It isn’t just our witness to the non-Christian public that’s at stake.
We're excited to bring you A.J. Swoboda @mrajswoboda online, next Sunday, January 24.
We will be reaching out through our other channels with a zoom link, but let us known if you need it.
Find A.J.'s bio and books online.
Yesterday's events come as only the most recent in a long line in which the name of Jesus has been abused, misaligned, and co-opted to justify racism, militancy, abuse of power, and greed. We cannot turn away. The presumption of God's approval is evil. We weep. We repent.
Used this thread as a template for my morning prayer time today!
Substantive yet simple! You don’t have to choose between the two.
You can get more done in 15 minutes than you’d might imagine. Happy Sunday y’all!
I regularly get asked how to structure a 10-15 minute time of prayer.
For those trying to establish a life of prayer, here’s 3 elements to consider (each time of prayer may or may not include all 3 elements).
I post this every year about this time, but consider planning your 2021 Bible reading book-by-book. It turns out, you can sit down and read most of them in a matter of hours, if not significantly less. There’s something powerful about reading a book “cover to cover.”
And please consider a gift. These are clarifying times. Integrity requires us to face realities that are often uncomfortable for the church. Money itself is a conforming pressure. Even a small gift of solidarity braces us to do so.
