@Supersloppy4@DJWarnerStage Oh, and to get technical as a Mario Karthead, 7 and 8 might share mechanics but their gameplay feel is entirely different. Id even argue 8 is a lesser experience than 7 despite being more content rich and a better value overall.
@Supersloppy4@DJWarnerStage I love BotW but TotK ended up what I wished BotW would have been as a first impression. It was as revelatory to me as ALBW was when compared to ALTTP.
@BaseballBobby1@DJWarnerStage Not sure why you think Im angry tho. Pointing out bad logic isn't a sign of anger. Is part of discourse. Discourse shouldn't require malding.
@BaseballBobby1@DJWarnerStage If you think BotW and TotK are near identical you're either a tourist or didnt actually play the game. The mechanical gap between both is worlds apart.
@eeponemoretime@DJWarnerStage Hyrule Field is inherently outdated tho. It's the one part of the game that deserves an open air reinvention. Dungeons however are the part that should ideally stay as close to tradition as possible as they are the parts both BotW and TotK struggle most with.
@BaseballBobby1@DJWarnerStage Me being younger than you or "a kid" is irrelevant to the discourse. Younger gamers will be gaming long after all the boomer gamers die out. It will be our hobby to inherent the discourse around and be cranky about anyway lol
@BaseballBobby1@DJWarnerStage You can like old things and acknowledge why new things can be loved on an equal playing field despite the differences. OoT and TotK are still inferior to both ALTTP and ALBW to me so such is life lol
@Supersloppy4@DJWarnerStage Thats like calling 3D World a 3D Land expansion pass. Or Mario Kart 8 a Kart 7 expansion pass. Or Halo Reach a Halo 3 Expansion Pass. Or Majora's Mask an OoT expansion pass. Please use actual critical thinking on this. Not ever sequel needs to be Mario 1 to Mario 3 lol
@eeponemoretime@DJWarnerStage I would literally not be mad if that happened to Mario so youre talking to the wrong guy lol I believe developers can figure out ways to carve new styles however they choose. I aint gonna play backseat game developer. Im here to be surprised and delighted.
@Ruleof2Review Those two, the Kirby games, Kid Icarus Uprising, Fire Emblem Awakening, Codename Project STEAM, and Super Mario 3D Land I feel will eventually make it onto either Switch or Switch 2 in the coming years in some shape or form. Just a hunch, lol
@xMBGx Ape Escape 4 or Legend of Dragoon. Tho if theyre cross gen with PS5 then...yeah id probably go PS5. GoW Ragnarok and Horizon: FW kinda showed off how last gen Sony ports can actually hold up great, unlike Nintendo cross gen ports that instantly make last-gen versions look meh
@Dinastia7Roja@LeanPicachu@Kereke125@Stealth40k Sparking Zero is probably the more fucked up example as its shitty port ended up as the basis for the Switch 2 port for no reason other than incompetence. Switch 1 ports hold back Switch 2 games when it comes to anything involving UE. Best to leave the old tablet behind.
@Dinastia7Roja@LeanPicachu@Kereke125@Stealth40k Both looking and running like crap on Switch 1 is also a factor. Id rather no port at all at that rate. The Witcher III and Doom Eternal are as optimized as it was gonna get for AAA games on that scale on that system, and both used proprietary tech for it to even be doable.
