@AndrewBroering@EWErickson I’m not anti-tariff. I’m anti-vibes-based economic policy. If you’re going to impose costs on every consumer in the country, there should be a detailed industrial strategy attached to it.
Congress has let drug companies rip off Americans for decades.
Lobbyists, campaign cash, and a system that protects industry profits.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
@Mock43754040@MilesTaylorUSA Impeachment is in the Constitution. It doesn’t erase votes. And party nominations aren’t elections.
You’re arguing against a system you very obviously either don’t understand or are willfully lying about.
@CryptoKaleo You don’t get to call him unfit now like this was unpredictable.
You knew exactly who he was and decided it was acceptable. This is what that decision looks like in real time. Own it.
@Mock43754040@MilesTaylorUSA No one is “taking away 78 million votes.” That’s not what impeachment is, and you know it.
And opposing threats against civilians isn’t pro-Iran, it’s pro-sanity. Try arguing the actual issue instead of lumping everything into one rant.
@JustTheTweets17@aravosis Trump did not change. He has been the same evil unhinged narcissist since his first term. It’s just now instead of hurting those of us you deem beneath you or some kind of abomination in your eyes, it’s now effecting you and yours personally. Hard to pity your bad judgement.
@ImBreckWorsham Let’s make this clear, YOU did this. The rest of us who could see the writing on the wall warned you that it was a mistake…but YOU thought his crazed narcassism would be a good idea. Don’t dump your poor decision making on those of us who knew how much damage he could do.
@LarryJCovingto2@JoJoFromJerz Just when you think you haven’t seen the true depth of stupidity and gullibility on this app, someone goes and proves me wrong. But sure, let’s blame the democrats for the fact that Trump actually stated (on video) he wouldn’t approve a bipartisan compromise.
@DashingDownward@HQNewsNow Speaking as someone who has the misfortune of being represented by this dumb MOFO…I agree. It’s painful to listen to his grandiose ideations. I can assure you, I did not vote for this.
@posterfemm84200@elizaorlins I get the fairness argument, but the tax code has never worked that way. Most tax benefits are tied to specific circumstances: mortgage deductions, child tax credits, retirement credits, EV credits, farm subsidies. The ACA credit is just another targeted tax credit.
@posterfemm84200@elizaorlins If tax credits are “socialism,” then so are mortgage interest deductions, farm subsidies, oil & gas tax breaks, and employer health insurance exclusions. The ACA credit just limits how much of someone’s income goes to insurance. It’s standard tax policy.
@pete_porcupine@One_Good_Cause@OversightDems I’m glad you find protecting the identities of sexual-assault victims amusing. The objection was that the documents hadn’t been properly redacted before release. Protecting victims comes first.
@pete_porcupine@One_Good_Cause@OversightDems If you want to discuss the issue, respond to the point about protecting victims’ identities in released records. Memes aren’t an argument.
@AForgedWarrior@Cindyisfire@DavidWolfe Soooo…a drug that corrects a metabolic imbalance which then allows people who suffer from this metabolic imbalance to lose weight like people who don’t have it…you know by eating in a calorie deficit and exercising is….corner cutting?
@Mourning_starz@1directmale@Cindyisfire@DavidWolfe So to keep weight off, people who are on a medication that corrects a metabolic imbalance must continue to take it. Wow…so insightful. Next you’ll be telling me I need to continue wearing my glasses so that I can see. 🙄
@bigmarinersfan@TheRickWilson Yes, senators are elected statewide. But 20+ years of extreme gerrymandering still matter. When districts are engineered so outcomes are basically predetermined, it breeds voter apathy and depresses turnout. Low participation isn’t the same thing as overwhelming support.
