@jacobpafc Sport is littered with players that left their clubs chasing money or success and just lost that special something they had. They just end up run of the mill players and in some cases are finished in their sport in a few years.
@LouieBomber4 While he only won 1 flag he made 5 GF's in 14 years. Missed finals twice and has a 63% W/L record. Not one of his competitors for the job come even close to having that record. No coach is perfect.
@MorenoGiovhe Worsfold, Neeld, Wallace, Bolton, Noble, Voss etc etc were all headhunted. You can get good coaches anyway but you give yourself the best chance by using success as a coach as a metric compared to hoping the messiah complex works.
@Mansell05@ScooterMcNeice Why would you want someone who knows how Essendon works? Essendon doesn't work and hasnt for 20 years. The club is a rabble and we need someone who will change the way the club works not one that will continue with the same rubbish.
Just a quick reminder to those that are counting out coaches because they are "recycled" and that hasn't worked too well in the recent past. So is James...
@SamHendlerd03@CraiG_Mc He coached them for 14 years mate. Missed the finals twice, 64% W/L, 1 premiership and 5 grand finals. Name a coach with a record even half as good as that who is available.
@ScooterMcNeice If you use criteria that excludes emotion, then Longmire is the unbackable favorite. Unfortunately this is Essendon we are talking about so anything could happen.
