If you ever feel like helping someone, you can try this:
Make a care package:
👉$20 gift card to shower at planet fitness for 2 mos. 👉$20 burner phone for interviews.
👉Bag of old nice clothes for interviews.
👉Basic hygiene kit. tooth paste, toothbrush, deodorant, shampoo. soap. towel.
👉$Gift card for groceries.
👉Laundry detergent
👉Vitamins, Neosporin, and antifungal cream.
👉Throw it in an old duffle bag from your garage.
👉Bag of Protein powder
👉A piece of paper with your phone or online handles.
Find someone on the street your same size, that is:
👉Non-aggressive
👉Sober
👉Not panhandling in busy area
Ask if if they want a hand getting off the street.
It's rough on the bottom. You will be surprised how much someone can do with about $100 of resources.✌️
@elonmusk He certainly is useful to study for strict theory following and created beautiful music. His chorales are basically a textbook for classical diatonic theory.
But I would prefer a groundbreaker like Chopin.
Dear @elonmusk@X ,
This is not a town square if any algo is curating my feed.
I want to see everything from everyone chronologically. Can we get an X world feed of top level posts with zero algorithm applied except chonological order?
Pretty sure the thrust is done with 4 fans, which have blades, that are foils, but that is all irrelevant.
My point is, as a scientist, Neil should never see things as impossible. The end applied goal of science is to make the unknown known, and to enable pursuit of that which doesn't seem possible based on settled science.
1000 years ago people believed it would be impossible to remove someone's heart and put it into another human.
@TripleNetTyler Once regulations like this pass on new construction, they later address it on existing structures.
But it is very difficult to apply to adding EV charging to existing parking, which usually requires new transformers and dry utility work.
This is where CA is ahead. It is required by new 2025 code on multifamily projects.
Under Section 4.106.4.2.2 (Multifamily dwellings):
1. Low-power Level 2 EV-ready receptacles (208/240 V, minimum 20-amp branch circuit + receptacle, e.g., NEMA 6-20R, 14-30R, or 14-50R):
Assigned parking: At least one receptacle at an assigned space for each dwelling unit (if the number of assigned spaces ≥ the number of units). If there are fewer spaces than units, all assigned spaces must have one.
FYI, in areas where cars don't leave enough room for cyclists, like a 1 lane bridge, they are supposed to use middle of the lane to force a safe environment by taking up space of a vehicle.
But I also see a lot of stupid entitled cyclists doing things they shouldn't. It is unwise to pick a fight with a car.
And I have also seen 3 cyclists get mowed down, and go under a truck by an asshole driver. It's a mess of human bodies skewered by shattered carbon fiber and it isn't pretty.
Everyone needs a bit of common sense and respect on the road.
