Question for men: If you had to prove in court that you care about the fact women are raped, and that you think raping is bad, and you could only use your tweets as evidence, would you be able to do so successfully? Based on the last 48 hours the answer is no for most of you.
@mental_willness We teach kids that you don’t hit people. So why would consent be an optional conversation? We spend so much time teaching girls how to avoid being raped. Maybe we should spend a hell of a lot more time teaching boys not to?
@rawmilkhoney This is honestly the first post I’ve seen where the men in the comments aren’t busy tearing the women apart and somehow they still can’t manage to focus on the actual issue: rape. Now you’re pivoting to racist jokes?
@nycgraceryan Reported mine and it was a win in the eyes of the prosecution- he went to jail, registered offender. If I could do it over again, I wouldn’t. Years of being a “witness” on the stand (wHaT wErE you WeARinG), being harassed by his creep friends and family etc. It’s hell on earth
@idontcare120469@zapatas_mom I don’t know man. I reported right away, SVU and all that fun stuff, he went to jail and is a registered offender. After years of court and reliving the trauma over and over, I’d probably just start therapy instead. Sad reality
