I'm MEGA BULLISH going into FOMC later!
Why?
1. It's the first Warsh FOMC, he needs to make a statement. He won't come in hawkish.
2. The market is going in pricing a rate hike as the FED's next move, any sign that its not is bullish, let alone if they indicate for a cut (I think they will).
3. The war is over and the oil price is under $80 again. Warsh has said he is looking at "underlying" inflation and not inflation itself.
I'll be live with @scottmelker later - will drop a link below.
World Cup Opener.
As a South African I’m taking a bet on the underdog later.
SA vs Mexico in the opener.
SA clearly underdogs playing in Mexico but I’m playing the odds.
SA for the win or draw.

Why @CryptoHayes Sold His $ZEC
In conversation with @cryptomanran, Arthur Hayes explains:
“I was in Zcash purely for privacy.
But after an AI found a bug, I sold. I demand perfection from ZEC against big tech, big government, and big AI.”

I must take my hat off to @ilblackdragon.
He first built the L1 and it struggled to find real competitive traction.
He kept innovating, iterating, grinding.
L1, account abstractions, etc etc…
Now all the pieces are coming together and they have a beast of a product with a huge TAM!
I met him many times over the years! I always held a bag of NEAR that I have never sold. He was always humble, always building.
Huge respect.
I tend to agree that probability that the Z-CASH pool was compromised is tiny BUT there is a small chance and we may only know this after the move from Orchard to the new Ironwood pool.
There is one more hurdle.
Iran war ending.
Russia Ukraine "ending soon"!
Clarity Act passing.
SP500 broken out of an 8 year channel.
Bitcoin broke through the bear flag on the daily and the weekly.
Don't fight the trend!
👽@cz_binance didn't write his book for readers first.
He wrote it for himself. As a conversation with himself.
Going through his life history. Figuring out what was important, what was meaningful, and what wasn't.
That clarity came from inside a prison cell.

NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS. DOWN MORE LIKELY.
Let's look at the set up,
Yesterday Bitcoin made another attempt to break out of the flag. The attempt was Saylor have a great last day before STRC went ex-dividend.
The attempt failed.
Now Saylor is out of the market on STRC for a while (3 weeks).
Without him I don't see how we break the flag and if we don't break it - its down from here!
First level: $79k must hold.
Second Level: $71k.
I don't even want to talk about anything after that...
I have a serious question.
What happens if STRC doesn't go back to $100?
The way I see it is a follows:
- Holders of STRC receive the dividend regardless of the price.
- If STRC doesn't go back to $100m then Saylor can't sell more to buy BTC.
- That is bad for BTC because the market will realize that the biggest buyer can't raise cash.
-If STRC has one or 2 months where it doesn't hit $100 the market realizes that its not actually worth $100, it could be worth $70, $50, who knows...
- As soon as that happen we get a death spiral of sorts where Saylor has to keep raising the yield to try get it back to $100.
The only problem is that the more he raises the yield , the more BTC he may need to sell...
What am I missing?
Serious comments only please.
I just bought some shares in Enhanced Games.
Here is my thinking.
- The valuation crashed from $1bn to $250mn.
- The market was disappointed that records weren’t broken and that no big names in their prime were there.
- What most people miss is that it was the first event and no one knew them before. Most athletes weren’t given enough time
to train up!
Most people didn’t even believe they would pull it off.
- Now the Enhanced games is on the map. They pulled of a relatively successful inaugural event and they have ownership of the concept.
- The idea of athletics being “legally” able to enhance their performance is going to be a playground for Pharma and Bio.
At $250 I’m willing to take my chances.
Crypto’s next move seems pretty obvious.
Right now all markets are soaring. The SP500, Nasdaq, Kospi ,Nikkei etc…
At the same time Bitcoin isn’t moving.
It’s almost inevitable that stock markets correct “soon” and when they do there is no world where crypto doesn’t follow.
What’s the thesis for buying now?
SAYLOR FINALLY SOLD BITCOIN .
But not for the reason you think.
He wasn’t selling to raise cash.
He was capturing a tax loss.
Take BTC bought at a high price , sell them at a low price. Capture a loss.
Buy them back.
