Together, we have completely altered and reshaped the course of crypto, on a global level.
The biggest CEOs in the entire industry took 3-4 years to copy the narratives and movements that we ourselves gave birth to.
And now, we will do the same with AI & LLM.

Started making music with AI as a creative partner, not a shortcut. Now we're here.
Still building.

A 19-year-old just raised $11 million from a16z to sell a $3,499 screenless computer that runs AI models inside your house. It's called Core, the company is Ghost.
An Nvidia RTX Pro 4000 Blackwell inside, Qwen & Gemma preinstalled, you talk to it through your phone, and nothing leaves the building. Preorders opened today, first units ship at the end of October.
Some of the engineering is genuinely considered. A credential firewall watches outgoing requests so an agent can't act without permission. Models update over the air.
The founder, Zain Javaid says it keeps working if Ghost goes out of business - which, for a sealed $3,499 appliance from a company that was in stealth yesterday, is the most important sentence in the whole announcement.
But one feature in the launch is a medical claim & that's the part worth examining.
Core notices your heart rate, your work history & the season & tells you that you may be getting ill.
The science under it is real & better than most people assume.
Stanford followed 5,262 people wearing smartwatches. Of 32 with confirmed COVID & adequate data, 26 - 81% - showed changes in heart rate, step count or sleep.
Twenty-two were flagged at or before symptom onset, a median of four days before symptoms & seven before diagnosis.
Median resting heart rate rise: 7 beats per minute. Run in real time, their algorithm would have caught 63% pre-symptomatically.
The Scripps DETECT study, 30,529 participants, found sensors alone discriminated COVID at AUC 0.72, self-reported symptoms at 0.71 & both together at 0.80.
So the signal is real, it precedes symptoms & it beats asking someone how they feel.
Now the number that decides whether it works as a product.
In the Stanford cohort, healthy controls triggered alarms at roughly 0.66 per month - about 8 alerts a year in someone who is completely fine.
An adult catches on the order of two to three respiratory infections a year. Most of the times this tells you you're getting sick, you aren't.
The authors are explicit about why. The method can't distinguish SARS-CoV-2 from any other virus. It detects physiological stress. Infection is one cause. So are bad sleep, alcohol, a hard workout and a rough week.
None of that makes the feature useless. It makes it a screening test, & screening tests live or die on base rates rather than sensitivity.
The question for a $3,499 appliance isn't whether it can detect illness before you feel it. It's whether you'll still be listening the 8th time it's wrong.
I donβt mind sharing this publiclyβ¦
I am EXTREMELY upset that Geoff is not properly live already. Among other things.
There are many legitimate reasons that explain the need to take some extra time, but to me that is just cope. Results and delivery are all that count.
I remain proud of my work and beyond grateful for my amazing collaborators. But I believe our execution the last 18 months or so has been a disappointment, and it certainly does not meet my own personal standards.
For this, I blame myself.
We will adjust accordingly, and we will deliver.

We live in a crazy and exciting time, my friends.
Much respect to the people who believe in their own ideas enough to risk not fitting in.
Being wrong is universal.
But being willing to take a risk is not.
