To refine the data further, PPG employs sophisticated plethysmographic signal estimation methods, including bandpass filtering. These steps are critical for isolating meaningful patterns and eliminating noise from the raw data.

Unlike conventional video-based technologies, each video image is separated into multiple layers called bitplanes15 across the three color channels.
