You are forgetting about the ULCCs. Used to inspect those monstrosities in RasTanura and Juaymah. The likes of Esso Pacific and Esso Atlantic would take up to 3.3 million barrels and at peak loading rate would receive up to 300,000 barrels per hour. Generally 30 to 40 hours to fill one up. They were too deep a draft to go anywhere near the Suez or Red Sea and nearly all of the cargoes were destined for Corpus Christi or the USA East Coast and offloaded as part of the USA strategic reserve build up in the late eighties and pumped straight into the ground. From memory they had over 40 cargo tanks a ship - a nightmare to quantify and and agree with the loading terminal. The daddy of them all was the Seawise Giant loading around 4 million barrels. Sadly I never got to board that one.
Buckle up because even if we got back to full production today it would take years to cover the shortfall. The metaphorical earthquake has already happened and the tsunami of sudden realisation is just over the horizon and rolling towards us.
The notion that road tankers is the solution is simply unrealistic - sorry.
@KinesisMonetary How about providing the most basic and best selling point of Kinesis - the PM-linked Visa/Mastercard. Sick of all these supa-dupa offers; just get the card working.
@mrnguyen007 That's now two completely different messages I've seen, purporting to be from Elon promoting XRP and yet allegedly removed after 20 seconds on both occasions. Ergo, from interest I have now moved to doubt. Screenshot and/or evidence please.
