Update: It was acl and meniscus. It is the same injury as the first Holloway fight, only this time the opposite leg. Quite shocking. I returned to competition within 9 months to fight Diego Brandao back then. With today’s regenerative medicine advancements and improved training methods it is well within my realm to return by next summer. I am walking without a crutch. I done leg extension machine work the other day to no issue. So I can walk without aid, and activate my quad under resistance. All very positive. I am maximum discipline and have maintained it fully since the bout. I wonder was I saved from something worse here. I believe so. I would have attended the after party as “the man” and who knows then. I believe I was saved.
Thank you God!
On we go, no sad stories. Thank you for the support and well wishes everyone, your health is your wealth ❤️🙏
🚨 Conor McGregor spoke about the loss to Max Holloway for the first time in new video:
“We’ll be back! In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let’s go.”
Happy 38th to the man who single-handedly turned mixed martial arts from a sport into a global spectacle.
He told us we weren't here to take part, we were here to take over—and he didn't lie for a single second.
Even when he fights with one leg, the entire sporting world stops just to catch a glimpse of the Mac.
"The one thing they love more than a hero is to see a hero fail, fall, die trying. In spite of everything you've done for them, eventually, they will hate you."
Wishing you a speedy recovery champ, thanks for taking the sport to unimaginable heights @TheNotoriousMMA
Din Thomas, Jorge Masvidal and Dustin Poirier all throw hate at Conor McGregor and say he ‘quit’
Chris Weidman is the only one who came to Conor’s defence

It’s absolutely crazy to me that people who call themselves “MMA fans” are genuinely excited that Conor is injured and may never fight again
Considering the fact that Conor got the majority of them in the sport and some them make their careers of this sport it’s nuts
Shameful
"This is what happens when a metric s**t ton of casuals watch a combat sports event" 😳
Jon Anik & RJ Clifford don't hold back on those suggesting McGregor vs. Holloway 2 was fixed... and why the "it's fixed" narrative around major combat sports events is just lazy thinking.

My head gasket is gone. Destroyed. I had no injury / injuries going into the fight. I was throwing kicks, planted and jumping, all throughout camp as well as backstage before the fight. This came out of nowhere. I am beyond dark here. I can only describe it as hell.
I was so sharp and so ready for this fight I cannot believe what has happened. The talk of me being off while walking in to the fight is nonsense. I was calm, ready, and confident. I am in shock what has taken place. The devil is literally staring at me right in front of my face here. I am not engaging. I will be at church tomorrow.
I will overcome this.
I will not be deterred.
I will return.
I believe in one God,
the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God,
Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
consubstantial with the Father;
through Him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
He came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit
was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
He suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead,
and His kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the Giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism
for the forgiveness of sins,
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come.
Amen. 🙏🏼
