Satoshi emails on the tl today. I’ll tell you who I think it is👇

While Hal Finney is the Bitcoin bull case, I’ve spent years digging into the origin of Satoshi. I’ve read everything I could find and watched countless shows and even foreign documentaries about this topic. I remain pretty convinced that Satoshi is Paul Le Roux.

Main evidence being the fact that Satoshi went dark literally right before Le Roux was apprehended in Liberia. Satoshi was very active in emails, forum and newsgroups. Never to be heard from again.

Le Roux of course is in prison for multiple major crimes. And will be at least for the next 20 years. He did go on a rant about Bitcoin at his sentencing hearing a few years ago.

Bitcoin client contained a poker source code. Le Roux worked as a dev at an offshore gambling operation in Costa Rica prior to moving to the Philippines. About the same time Bodog did.

I think Le Roux worked for Bodog in Costa Rica which would have connected him with CSW. Not entirely sure but recall reading about that connection somewhere at one point.

In Philippines during the first year or two of Bitcoin when Satoshi mined over a million coins, Le Roux was questioned about his extraordinary power use.

This is covered in a Philippines public television network show about Le Roux. Had nothing to do with Satoshi. It was about his plotting of a murder of a local real estate agent there. They probably thought he was growing marijuana or something. But the times line up to when those coins were mined.

Le Roux developed E4M encryption software. And rumored to have been a part of TrueCrypt, which to this day forms the base of the encryption software used by terrorist groups like Al Queda for private messaging. It hasn’t been cracked.

Both of these softwares are open source, just like Bitcoin. I’m not a coder, but ones I have spoken to say that both E4M and the Bitcoin source code are highly advanced C++.

Apparantly there’s not a whole lot of people capable of coding either. Elon Musk was rumored to be Satoshi at one point simply due to his C++ coding skill. Not many exist that are capable of coding something like Bitcoin.

Bitcoin was coded between the time that Le Roux shut down his affiliate program network. Likely because of troubles with credit card processing. Same as he experienced in the gambling business. Giving him the motivation to explore digital currencies as a form of payment. Which is the thesis of the Bitcoin whitepaper. Transfer of digital cash for payments. Not digital gold like the new narrative.

Circumstantially, if you read Le Roux’s ramblings on usenet going back all the way into the 90s, he’s quite libertarian and uses the same style of half British, half American English that Satoshi does. Time zones of posts match up also to somebody that would have been living in the Philippines at the time of most activity.

Satoshi was a prolific poster with a similar flair of arrogance as Le Roux had on newsgroups when touting E4M. And then Satoshi just stopped posting. Very out of character.

Le Roux also was found with a fake passport with the name “Solotoshi”. Which doesn’t prove anything but is an interesting coincidence.

There’s alot more. And you can easily fall down this rabbit hole like I did. There’s no actual smoking gun here but I feel like Le Roux had the very specific C++ supercoder skills that not many possess, and the motivation after struggling with online payments always, plus the mindset of a very extreme libertarian.
