Victoria's unemployment rate now materially above all other states pushing above 5% and above the period heading into the pandemic. There seems to be a clear divergence in Victorian economic performance and the other states. By contrast NSW falls to 3.94%. (both states experienced a rise in the participation rate.
It’s actually concerning to me when Albo and Labor say they’re focused on cost of living.
Because they’ve been saying that for over 4 years while actively making it worse.
Can anyone argue against my idea that we need all govt expenditure at all levels, council, state, federal, on a public register, accessible to all? ASIO and sensitive defence stuff not itemised but the rest, completely itemised. The technology is available. Bring it all into the light. And make it real time. As it’s spent it goes on the register. We see what every dollar is used on. Will cut corruption immediately by ninety percent. Also we will see who is getting over paid. They hide it because they know it’s wrong. Let everyone walk in the light.
I keep hearing about all the new businesses starting.
Turns out they count ABN registrations.
Every migrant Uber driver, Cleaner or other unskilled worker requires one.
They are self employed independent contractors.
They are not businesses in the true sense of the word.
I have never seen a PM hated as much as Albanese.
Yet if there was an election tomorrow Labor would win & he'd be returned.
Doesn't say a lot for the intelligence of Australian voters.
While you are at work today please keep in mind that your taxes are being used to pay for this nonsense.
If we change nothing, nothing changes
Back the Australian Peoples Party to put an end to the rort.
And here's Anthony Albanese attending Pratt's party (the one where Pratt paid Kylie $3 million to perform) but the left are more worried about Pauline being on the same pool deck as Gina.
If you drag yourself out of bed at dawn to grind away in a real wealth-creating job, congratulations — you’re getting absolutely screwed by taxes so some lazy grifter can pocket $400K a year plus $60K super.
Almost half a million dollars for a “Multicultural Coordinator.”
Half a million dollars for a completely useless parasite — a fake "job" manufactured for a Labor Party hack.
And then you wonder why Australia is circling the drain, productivity is in the toilet, and living standards are collapsing for everyone actually producing value.
Why the hell would anyone bust their arse to invest, take real risks, and build a business when you can just suck up to the political correctness machine, push the woke agenda, and rake in half a million dollars doing sweet FA?
Let’s hope One Nation win in Victoria, and clean them all out.
Stephen, you know better than that. A survey bounces to less negative and the ASX going up doesn’t erase the structural damage this Budget has and is doing.
You also know that @AlboMP & @JEChalmers #CGT assault on Australian businesses is a direct attack on productive equity investment, startups and Australia’s capital markets.
Confidence built over decades can be destroyed in one Budget. That’s not delusion, that’s economic reality.
🎓 NOT ALL DEGREES CREATE THE SAME ECONOMIC VALUE — AND TAXPAYERS SHOULDN'T PRETEND THEY DO.
Dr Ryan seems outraged that an Arts, Law or Commerce degree can cost $54,000.
The better question is:
Why should a plumber, truck driver or electrician be forced through their taxes to subsidise someone else's degree choice?
If a degree delivers:
💰 Higher lifetime earnings
💼 Better career opportunities
📈 Greater earning capacity
then it is reasonable that the person receiving those benefits contributes towards the cost.
Universities are not charities.
Degrees are investments in human capital.
The Job-ready Graduates reforms at least attempted to align prices more closely with labour market demand and taxpayer benefit.
Should taxpayers heavily subsidise degrees in areas already producing graduate oversupply while Australia struggles to find:
🔧 Tradespeople
👩⚕️ Nurses
👨🏭 Engineers
💻 Technology specialists
🧪 Scientists
There is also a deeper issue.
Too many young Australians have been encouraged into expensive degrees with questionable employment outcomes while vocational training was neglected.
That has not served students well.
The libertarian position is straightforward:
✅ Students should have freedom to study whatever they wish.
✅ Universities should have freedom to offer courses.
✅ Taxpayers should not be forced to subsidise private educational choices indefinitely.
✅ Prices should send signals about demand and economic value.
If an Arts degree is worth $54,000 to the student receiving it and the career it enables, they should happily make that investment.
If it isn't worth $54,000...
that tells us something important about the economics of the degree itself.

Oh come on….
More power to the incompetent government?
More administration?
More public servants?
More rules that’s will worked around?
It’s all such a farce.
I have infinitely more in common with the average CEO earning 200 times my income than I do with the homeless meth junkies that broke into my car and stole my wallet.
The top 1% are mostly extremely smart and talented people who work hard and produce value for society whereas the bottom 1% terrorise us all with low impulse control psychotic criminal violence.
Greens think the highest realisation of human existence is to sit at home all day like a bum smoking bongs.
Pigs will always be drawn to the trough.
And nothing is sacred in the pursuit of an agenda wrapped in virtue.
So the more we allow wealth to be concentrated and controlled by the few, the more likely it'll be taxed or deployed for a political agenda.
It's inevitable.
Westpac’s CEO is absolutely correct. Super is for people’s retirement, not to advance the ALP’s pet causes.
After coming after your investments with the CGT changes, the ALP can’t resist coming after your super.
Vote the ALP out in 2028.

This is what the CGT changes have incentivised. It’s what happens when you penalize people for taking risk and investing in angels, small cap growth or junior explorers.
Capital is now flowing into stodgy, low or no-growth large caps that offer fully franked dividends - and the ETFs that track them.
