I find it pretty easy to be bullish Solana long term, maybe there's some bias with me running a validator but I think more than anything that makes me close enough to justify the view.

We talk a lot about crypto replacing the current system. Having a background in financial systems I know that the backend infrastructure level is important. Solana was the first chain that made me believe it would be possible.

Seeing the development from 2021 to today I don't think another chain can compare to the rate of improvement that Solana has had and that pace of improvement hasn't really slowed down. Compare Solana's first 5 years to Ethereum's and it's like night and day.

So yeah comfy.

@JotaDotSol @TheWattenhofer @akh1l_sol I think 0 + a target number of nodes could make the problem you're describing worse.

It'd be cheaper for the highly staked nodes to run multiple nodes which would push lower staked nodes out of the target number.

I think meeting the basic needs of all is definitely a position we should hold but I don't think it's a direct connection to this type of wealth concentration. It's heavily a logistics problem for most of the world's poorest.

Personally don't like the idea of "Redistribution" think it implies that when people build successful businesses they've "taken" from society but in many cases the wealth is created rather than taken.

If the argument really is that wealth was taken and needs to be given back, who was it taken from and how?
