New feature!
Introducing the CTF Archive. We now have a category on our challenges page filled with the best CTF challenges of the past.
There are so many brilliant challenges made by the community, we want help your hard work reach as many people as possible!
@blockchainhippy We didn't have an age range in mind, but you probably need to have a teenager's worth of maths background to start. Depends on the previous education I suppose.
@kaepora I think if the students have no previous experience with thinking about cryptography, then textbook RSA is a nice thing to start with for asymmetric crypto
Congratulations to our researcher Robin Jadoul for successfully defending his PhD thesis on "Secure Multiparty Computation, Inside and Out of the Head"! 🎓🥳🎉
@claucece Fun Fact: SNOVA is pronounced as "Supernova" by its designers. Please don't confuse the two meanings of supernova. One refers to an imploding hot mess, and the other has something to do with astrophysics.
kyber-py and dilithium-py have both been updated to match the finalised FIPS specifications 203 and 204.
They also both pass the test vectors supplied by usnistgov/ACVP-Server
I hope these are useful tools to learn PQ crypto 🍄

This weekend I made xoflib with my friends Robin Jadoul and @_tritoke.
xoflib is a Python package for the Shake extendable-output functions (XOFs) written using pyO3 bindings to the sha3 Rust crate.

I implemented ML-DSA following draft FIPS 204 to follow the work earlier this week with ML-KEM. Hopefully this is interesting to people learning about the protocol

We have begun the process of rewriting our challenge descriptions in Latex -- this was motivated because of the recent additions which were maths heavy
We hope this change makes the site more accessible and easier to read for everyone
It's been a long time coming, but I finally got around to writing some isogeny challenges for @CryptoHack__ !
🐙 I hope this encourages a whole new group of people to fall in love with isogenies 🐙

For the first time in ages, new challenges are being added to CryptoHack. To make up for lost time we're adding 50 new challenges including two whole new sections dedicated to zero-knowledge proofs and isogenies.

Halfway through the return journey and I have something concrete to say about it: https://t.co/SC0x6h6Qs0
I didn't make it past step 4, but I tried to give some intuition on complex gaussians and Karst waves
(ICYMI others discovered a critical flaw; see the updated eprint)
@thngngu07365711@offsectraining Highly recommend @CryptoHack__ https://t.co/0cH4rEYIsX
And as always, playing CTF events, then looking at writeups of challenges you were stuck on always helps you learn 🙂
I'm very glad to share this new plateform! 🎉
#Hackropole collects nearly all the challenges that we have made since 2019 for the FCSC, the French CTF acting as a qualifier for the #ECSC. Hackropole is available in both French 🇫🇷 and English 🇬🇧. Enjoy!

Postdoc opening in post-quantum cryptography in Lyon! Apply if you like either crypto, number theory, lattices, isogenies, or all of these! https://t.co/GEFdt1etyT
Really excited about some new work, which shares new isogeny formula for (2,2)-isogenies.
In short: our new work is 10x faster than my previous effort!
Tomorrow, @MainoLuciano will talk about these results and the benefits for FESTA for the @IsogenyClub
