We are generally pretty negative about the trenches, which is understandable considering the current state of them.

But there’s one thing way too few people talk about, and something we should all genuinely have respect for:

The initiative from devs to ACTUALLY do things IRL for their coin and community.

Like @MooNamTokPage , who literally traveled from vienna all the way to Khon Kaen, Thailand just to visit Moo Nam Tok in person.

That’s easily a €1500+ trip

And then you have @DavidAttenbara who booked a same-day flight from London to Edinburgh (around £80-£150 depending on timing), then immediately bought tickets for Edinburgh Zoo just to document and support the viral baby capybara narrative firsthand.

What makes it even more special that all the fees are being directed toward adopting the capybara species at the zoo, paying for the highest “Gold” tier, with the goal of eventually getting a community plaque displayed there under the name $DAVID while continuing direct donations to the zoo itself.

That’s the type of effort and commitment the trenches honestly need more of.
