🇩🇰 Copenhagen's Green-led council is limiting elderly care residents to 80 grams of beef per week for climate reasons.
That works out to 11.4 grams a day, which is less meat than most people put in a single taco.
A Green party rep explained the logic: the elderly "have been the biggest climate sinners throughout their lives."
So the plan is apparently to make them atone for it in their final years, one thimble of mince at a time.
Critics, including opposition parties and elderly advocates, say the policy risks undernutrition in a population already vulnerable to it.
The council says it's flexible, but the elderly eating climate penance for dinner might disagree.

Cardano $ADA is well-positioned to qualify as a digital commodity under the CLARITY Act. 🇺🇸
The Act will set rules for US crypto: exchange registration, token fundraising, DeFi, stablecoins, and the classification of securities and commodities.
For the classification, it'll use decentralization criteria to split tokens into commodities or securities.
By many metrics, Cardano is among the most decentralized blockchains:
✅ Ouroboros Proof-of-Stake
✅ 3,000+ stake pools securing the network
✅ No single entity controls block production
✅ Decentralized on-chain governance with 900+ DReps
Cardano $ADA has already been classified as a digital commodity by the SEC and CFTC.
The CLARITY Act is still pending Senate approval.
I am getting insanely tired of hearing a false narrative that we abandoned scaling in favor of governance. There was continuous effort and work from before even Shelley on scaling (for example https://t.co/jPnHnG8BbG)
It was an enormously challenging problem that we relentlessly attacked from many different angles including L2 innovations, a brand new accounting model- eutxo- zero knowledge ideas, partnerchains, and capstoning with Leios.
Many of these ideas required deep r&d and original publications. This cannot be made faster by throwing more people at it. It's research. In the meantime while the research was being done, we implemented Voltaire because it unlocks the treasury for the entire community to use thereby making Cardano stronger and also scaling will require many parameter changes we cannot unilaterally make.
No one was pulled from scaling research and development. There were dozens of scientists and engineers brainstorming and prototyping for years. A semi-centralized and not secure halfway house could have been implemented that crashed all the time like other blockchains. Or we could do it right like we've always done things with the Cardano ecosystem. We chose the latter.
We now have a full design for Leios, Peras, and a great L2 strategy. They are elegant and future proof. We now have the best scaling strategy in the entire cryptocurrency space. That's what the time bought us.
Implementing Voltaire means that every single one of you has a voice and vote on when and how to turn that on. You also exercised that vote and voice on a desire for a multi-client ecosystem. So it's going to be turned on multiple times by independent teams. That's the point of governance.
Critics somehow argue that we should have just made a mad rush for scalability, robbed everybody of a voice, and somehow we would be ahead today.
What that means in practice is none of you would be dreps, there would no constitution, no constitutional committee, you would have no say when and how we upgrade the network, you would have no say on client diversity, there would be no legitimate members-based organizations, we would have no legitimate- community endorsed- road map, and over a billion Ada would be locked for no one to use.
The very fact that Bitcoin is having an issue trying to figure out whether to steal Satoshi's money for the "greater good" (BIP361) or just simply let someone else steal it (BIP360) is the single greatest endorsement of the value of governance. It's going to literally break their ecosystem into two halves and cause catastrophic economic harm. We will completely sidestep this issue thanks to governance.
🇩🇪 A café in Berlin doesn't allow white people to enter.
It has received nearly €700,000 in public funding.
Now imagine for a second if there were a bar that refused entry to Black people.
What would happen?
Here's where this goes...
Firstly, kiss successful insurance claims goodbye.
Any accident will be blamed on "sub-optimal driver performance", and that time your hands moved briefly from the 10-and-2 or your eyeline wasn't correctly picked up by the mirror sensor will be used to blame your fender-bender on you.
Secondly, there will be a big "people drive dangerously" propaganda push. "ADDW data harvesting has shown up 80% of us might be driving more recklessly than we think", or "most veteran drivers slip in to bad habits, reports show".
Then comes the new legislation to act on this totally fabricated problem. What is it? Oh, it's re-certification. Every driver has to be re-certified after X years on the road.
Or maybe your driver monitoring data will be uploaded to a database and scanned for errors. Those errors put points on your license and if you go over a certain number of points, your ability to drive is taken away pending recertification.
You can appeal, and drive while the appeal takes place. But the appeal fee is greater than the recertification fee, and if you lose, you have to pay legal costs, and you're not allowed to drive for double the usual amount of time.
You'll have to pay a "processing" fee for re-certifying, of course, and if you fail, you'll have to wait X amount of months before you can try again.
Headlines will celebrate both the (fictional) decrease in traffic fatalities and that the smaller number of private vehicles on the road has improved the pollution levels in the inner cities.
An opinion piece from an anonymous "former driver" will appear in the Guardian "I lost my drivers license, and it's the best thing that ever happened to me".
It will talk up how much money they're saving on petrol and road tax, and how much fitter they get walking everywhere and how they know their neighbours so well now.
And all sorts of cosy anecdotes about the charming characters and life-affirming tableaux that public transport exposes you to.
Update on the 'human' appeal.
Denied.
No videos cited.
No changes specified.
No engagement with the evidence.
A generic template asking me to "refine my content" without identifying what that means.
Three template responses now. Three.
Not one piece of evidence engaged with.
Not one specific claim addressed.
Not one human assessment of the actual work.
Three years of work.
A documented production stack.
Paid commercial licensing.
154 episodes.
A 5-hour arc finale shipped this month.
A public dossier laid out 48 hours ago with receipts on every claim.
The reply: a paragraph. A template.
I've asked yet again for specifics. Until those arrive, the 90-day window is theoretical. I cannot fix what they will not name.
Episode 155 is up on Patreon later today. I will admit, it's going to be shorter than usual. Dealing with this all week ate into the time the episode would have, and I'm exhausted.
Times like this I wish I had a template I could lean on to ship faster.
The work is still there, the love is still there, and the story moves forward.
Patreon is now where this will exclusively live for early access.
Thank you to the thousands of you who made that floor real this week.
Thank you to the 100+ who joined Patreon within 24 hours.
Thank you to my 21 Demigod-tier patrons (6 in the last 48hrs) paying $75 a month each for "slop."
I'm done asking for appeals. I want the evidence. @TeamYouTube - which videos triggered this? What specifically failed compliance? If you can't name either, the decision has no basis. I cannot fix what you will not identify, and I will not pretend the 90-day window is real until you can.

One screenshot. YouTube's own dashboard. Same channel, within two days
Three days ago YouTube demonetised my channel of 154 episodes for "inauthentic content - mass produced." My appeal came back denied yesterday.
The same week, YouTube's own analytics tool generated this assessment of my latest episode: "performing exceptionally well... an outlier in the best possible way."
I've spent 3 years, working 50-70 hours per week building a serialised D&D campaign in an original world, with an audience of 1,250+ paying supporters across BOTH YouTube + Patreon, 500 of whom are now being cut off from supporting what they love, losing membership badges they've held for 2+ years.
If nothing else, this is unfair to them, and the damage is done.
The denial cites "similar template across multiple videos" as the reason. That criteria applies to every podcast, every gameplay channel, every long-form actual play show on YouTube. I'd genuinely like to understand what specifically distinguishes my work from the formats YouTube actively recommends.
The denial also says I can reapply in 90 days "after making changes." But the same email says they can't tell me which videos triggered the decision. You can't fix what you can't identify.
And at the risk of repeating myself, what good does that do for the woman who has been with the channel for 1 year 8 months, or the man for 2 years 5 months? Nothing. They're two of the 500 people now being cut off from supporting work they love, through no decision of their own. Or mine.
To @TeamYouTube - please open this case for human review. Every cited claim has been addressed with evidence in the replies below.
To my audience - please be respectful and polite if you engage. The work continues. I'll see you all Friday on Patreon.
