MISTAKES THREAD:
(1)
I've learnt a lot over the past 8 months whilst trading crypto futures markets for the first time.
I feel i've grown as both a Technical and Fundamental trader.
However, I've made a lot of mistakes along the way. Below is a list of my biggest mistakes:
Haven’t been on CT in literally 4 months because it’s generally gross.
When I left everyone was celebrating Elon because all of his positive tweets were pushing $BTC to new highs at light speed.
People now calling for his head?
Manipulation works both ways you muppets.
This 18k $BTC deposit is legit as it was a transaction between user deposit wallets and Gemini hot wallet.
All Exchanges Inflow Mean is skyrocketed due to this deposit. Don't overleverage if you're in a long position.

A reminder to myself to keep checking $BTC pairs as well as $USD pairs for the next alt run.
Things going into price discovery on USD pairs = good
Things going into PD on USD pairs while also breaking out vs BTC = great
$BTC update:
Sigh. Could have left this open as it tagged the 48.1k zone, then bearish retest rejected back to this weird support zone.
Sell volume increasing so don't know how it's going to react here, but would be shocked if MM didn't hunt that next daily liquidity at 43.7k.
Feels like $BTC is going to print a strong H1 bull div here on a retest of 45-46k, and then bounce for a bearish retest of 48.5k.
Not expecting a blast through 48, but we should get a relief bounce soon, similar the drop on the 23rd (to the left - a similar strong bull div).
Got the bounce from the H1 bull div but won't pretend to know what's going to happen here.
No real buy volume coming in, and don't want to sleep on this position.
Closing in profit at this mid-point to the bearish retest.
Still favour shorts at 48k unless buy volume rockets.
@ColdBloodShill 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
THANKYOU. Been having this argument all day. Price action from previous low (and its corresponding RSI) is from a different period. Therefore invalidated (and irrelevant) divergence.
Also market bought $1INCH, as if the BTC bounce does happen here, it's probably worth owning a coin that:
1. Was very minimally affected by BTC volatility
2. Has huge volume coming in
3. Is about to breakout of a meme triangle and horizontal resistance.
#1INCH
Nice, breakout of both pennant pennant and horizontal levels.
TP1 and TP2 on the chart for what it's worth.
Note that i'll market close this depending on BTC reaction in the next few hours. Clear 48.2k and this looks like it will go ballistic with all the BSC volume.
@CryptoJelleNL It's an indicator that is founded on a mathematical equation (like most indicators, obviously). Just seems weird using it outside of the parameters of the equation.
But if it's been working then godspeed to you. Keep on swinging, keep playing those odds!
@CryptoJelleNL RSI is based on the strength of the period you input. Standard being 14. So unless your period is greater than 14, the 'relative strength' of the divergence is irrelevant. It's relative to price action outside of the period you are analysing.
