The odds of you making it to the level of your fantasy is 1 in 100, maybe 1 in 50. Of course you all think you are the ONE in the equation.

These are not the odds I would choose. These odds are too long.

So, instead, pursue your other career. Be the best at it you can be. Be your employer's best employee.

Save as much money as you can. Live cheaply. Drive used cars.

Get married -- marriage is good. Have kids. They will teach you patience.

With your savings, put 50% in SPY every month and hope the market collapses. Keep buying.

Put 25% into an account to play with as a hobby. Learn futures. Start slowly. At first, learn how to not lose. Being a good loser is 80% of the solution. As you learn how to make money without losing what you make, then your journey as a market speculator can begin. Keep track of the RORs of your individual trades. Record them. I offer a spreadsheet to my community to keep track of important data.
Keep good metrics. Once you have traded for one or two years with a Profit Factor >2.0, some Kurtosis (>3.0) and a possible skew, then you might consider scaling up your sizing. And that might then lead you back to trading as a career using an approach that has already proven itself to you.

Anyway, that is my advice. Take it for what it is worth.
