[NEWS] Import tariffs on Japanese vehicles just raised the stakes for U.S. car buyers:
As part of a new trade deal, Japan’s vehicle tariffs are set at 15%, a firm number after months of uncertainty.
According to Dave Thomas at CDK Global—
That means immediate, lasting price hikes.
Like $50 here, $100 there, and hundreds added to mid- and high-end trims.
- Beyond that, base models will try to stay affordable, but luxury trims will take the hit.
- New launches like the Toyota RAV4 and Subaru Outback will debut with higher sticker prices.
For now, dealers have a window to move pre-tariff inventory, but long term, affordability will depend heavily on what happens with Mexico and Canada.

🚨 DID SCIENTISTS JUST CURE BALDNESS?
Forget rubbing donkey hooves on your head. UCLA scientists found a molecule — PP405 — that wakes up sleeping hair follicles and tells them, “Do your job.”
In early trials, people rubbed it on their scalps before bed.
One week later? Boom — actual hair, not sad fuzz.
Thick, terminal strands. The kind you don’t have to squint to see.
It blocks a protein that keeps follicles asleep.
Turns out, your scalp isn’t dead — just lazy.
The team’s backed by Google Ventures and already raised $16 million, which is more than most hair-loss companies make before they vanish in a cloud of regret and beard oil.
It’s not FDA-approved yet.
But it’s looking way more legit than everything in the late-night infomercial aisle.

🇨🇳TEMU SLAPS 145% IMPORT CHARGES AFTER TRUMP TARIFFS
Temu just dropped a bomb on U.S. shoppers—adding “import charges” around 145% because of Trump’s new tariffs on Chinese goods.
Now, a $19 dress on Temu can cost nearly $45 after fees.
Shein hiked prices too but hasn’t added separate charges (yet).
Trump’s 145% tariff and ending the $800 duty-free rule have wrecked both platforms’ cheap-shopping model.
Temu warned prices would jump on April 25—and they weren't kidding.
Bottom line:
If you're shopping Temu now, you’re basically paying double.
