CryptoNoteTech

CryptoNote is an open-source technology
and concept for the cryptocurrencies
of the future.

Today we’ve updated CryptoNote Foundation repository to 1.1.0 https://t.co/t3DymeK5t7

[CryptoNoteTech @CryptoNoteTech]

Lots of cryptographic systems were designed to maintain secrecy in a transmission of military information.

"#Cryptography is the science of communicating securely in the presence of adversaries"

[CryptoNoteTech @CryptoNoteTech]

Any digital signature can be viewed as zero-knowledge proof.

[CryptoNoteTech @CryptoNoteTech]

Blockchain provides proof-of-publication.

[CryptoNoteTech @CryptoNoteTech]

#CryptoNote difficulty updates with every new block.

[CryptoNoteTech @CryptoNoteTech]

In elliptic curve crypto, any private key is essentially a very large number (up to 75 decimal digits in #CryptoNote)

[CryptoNoteTech @CryptoNoteTech]

AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) is essentially Rijndael algorithm with fixed parameters.

S-box and P-box in block ciphers stand for Substitution and Permutation.

[CryptoNoteTech @CryptoNoteTech]

Stream ciphers are useful when you can't split the data into blocks and need to encrypt it bit-by-bit. #Cryptonote

[CryptoNoteTech @CryptoNoteTech]

The progress: DES used to operate with 64-bit blocks and 56-bit key, AES parameters today are 128/156 bits.

[CryptoNoteTech @CryptoNoteTech]

Three main topics in #cryptography are: confidentiality, data integrity and authentication.

[Martin Hellman @MartinHellman2]

@CryptoNoteTech First practical algorithm (called Diffie-Hellman Key Exchange, but should include Merkle) was discovered ~May 1976.

[CryptoNoteTech @CryptoNoteTech]

@MartinHellman2 Thank you for clarification!

[CryptoNoteTech @CryptoNoteTech]

Ring signatures were invented by Ronald Rivest ("R" in RSA) in 2001. http://t.co/JNapm2e80W

The first #public key cryptosystem appeared almost 40 years ago: in 1976. Thanks to Whitfield Diffie, @MartinHellman2 and Ralph Merkle!

[CryptoNoteTech @CryptoNoteTech]

"#Security factor 80" means that you will need about 2^80 operations (100..0: 24 zeroes) to break the system.

Now you can create #CryptoNote coins easy and fast with Forknote service. Find info on: https://t.co/YWaH41T4fk
